Best Cable For 1080P Gaming Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been on the market for a gaming monitor. I wanted something that wasn’t just HDR compatible, was high refresh rate, at least 30”, and 1440p. I was upgrading from a 144Hz, 1080p monitor that was 37”, way too big for 1080p. I saw the 32” G7 in a store and ordered it shortly after. This monitor is everything I was wanting. I didn’t think I’d like the curvature of the display, but I think it helps further envelope me in games. The refresh rate is more than ample for my needs. My desktop won’t be driving AAA games at 240Hz, but Nvidia G-sync helps with that. Colors are vibrant for a standard LCD panel and the 1440p resolution is just enough for gaming without stressing my system by pushing 4K. The built-in speakers are serviceable. They have RGB lighting that is controlled via the monitor itself. I would like to plug it in via USB and have an app for controlling it, but the OSD is fine. There’s also an RGB light ring on the back. It would also have been nice if it adapted to whatever the monitor was displaying. But those are two small complaints in an otherwise great monitor that will suit my needs for years. 5 |

Very good and cheap monitor for 1080p gaming or a good seconday monitor, I had no issues with this the size is also perfect for 1080p, if you go up to like 27-32 inches monitor (1080p) it gets blurry, If you want a budget monitor buy this honest (any card should be able to get 165hz on this ez) 5 |

Arguably the best budget 1080p gaming monitor that you can buy. Great colors, even though its a little saturated, but I like that look. Impressive features like Freesync, 165hz (up to 180hz OC), 1ms response time (although a bit misleading), and its IPS panel. It's sharp, has good customizability, and is overall very good. There isnt really anything bad I can say about this monitor. BUY IT! 5 |

I got rid of my bulky 1080ti desktop tower, and replaced it with a gaming laptop. I still wanted a nice screen(I had 1440p 144hz, but downgraded to 1080p 144hz), so I wanted a hassle free way of connecting my laptop and get all the accessories with just one cable. This is perfect for my needs. The listing doesn't mention high refresh rate monitors, but it is compatible. I tried two different monitors(1440p and 1080p, both GSYNC and 144hz), works perfectly. The only thing this doesn't do is charge my gaming laptop(understandably). It does charge lower power hogging machines like MBP/MBA, but I don't currently have a Mac with TB3. So instead of one cable, I have to plug in a TB3 and Power cable to my laptop to make it a Desktop, but it's still VERY GOOD compared to what I had to plug in before. 5 |

Used the cable to route a monitor to my drum setup, does the job perfectly connected to a 1080p 60hz monitor from my motherboard. 5 |

I have been looking for something like this. +1 cable that does both power and video and displays 1080P +This is subjective, but I prefer a glossy panel over matte, even if there will be some reflections and glare, but there are people out there like me who enjoy the shine of tech products. +light and convenient for road warriors like me who need a mobile office feel with multiple that can be snapped open with no need of wall sockets. +Great for setting up as a browsing, article source or videos while writing or programming off on the Mackbook. -USB-C is good, but still has its limits as I could not get games from my Alienware to display on the monitor at 1080P, but may need to crank the resolution down - but I am big gamer as well. All in all, I recommend this for it's build, mobility/portability, display, thinness, weight and simple connectivity. Seriously considering getting two more as I am able to stick the monitor to a wall at my desk and it frees up a lot of space, another surprising use. 5 |
