Best Camera Backpack For Day Hikes
Virtual | 2024-09-14 09:39:23 |
I purchased this because I was looking for a casual / weekender backpack for photoshoots and hikes. I was able to fit everything in here for a 2-3 day trip. I watched all the youtube videos which were so helpful in setting up my camera bag. After using it for over two months, I can say that I'm extremely happy with this backpack! There's a lot of detail work in this backpack. The side pockets are snug, lots of interior space, hidden pockets, and so comfortable to wear for a long hike. I can also fit all my gear (1DX, 4 lenses, mavic, laptop, ipad, clothes, accessories like batteries/chargers). It's not bulky which i also love. I'm very impressed with this camera backpack! Totally recommended! 5 |

I was looking for a camera backpack that could carry not only my photo gear but also other essentials for day hikes and this pack offers plenty of room. I especially like the strap across the chest to keep the pack in place when climbing to get to certain locations for those ideal shots. 5 |

The 15L Everyday Backpack Zip is well designed and highly functional. Used it for day hikes and it worked fine except I needed more space and a waist strap so I exchanged it for the 30L version. 5 |

This backpack was exactly what I was looking for to take on day shoots and short hikes. A major plus of this bag is that due to its relatively small size, it forces one to think and plan for the shoot and not take everything one might need. For that I have an excellent (5 star) Tamrac Anvil 17. In this backpack I can comfortably fit my Olympus OMD-1-III with the 12-100mm attached, a 40-150mm f2.8 (w/out hood) and even the 7-14mm f2.8 along with a Platypod, small ballhead, extra battery, filters and remote cable release. On the outside I can strap a lightweight tripod. The bag is light, well constructed and comes with several well-thought details. If you’re looking for something along these lines, I can definitely recommend this backpack. 5 |

Great product! I always use it regardless of the terrain. It keeps dirt and debris from the drone and camera. I always take it on hikes and strap it to the outside of the backpack. 5 |

I recently upgraded from the v2 Capture to the v3 Capture and after using it on a few hikes, I can say it is worth it! I was a little worried that the new Capture wouldn't fit my backpack straps, because they're pretty wide, but I was able to get it on with little effort by slightly squeezing my straps and using the longer Allen key screws. The new Capture is much lighter than my previous one, so my backpack strap doesn't sag as much as it previously did when the camera was off the clip. The flatter profile of the plate is also nice, which makes it easier for me to balance my camera when I put it on a table now. Overall, I am happy with my purchase! 5 |

I bought this to replace a LowePro backpack so I could access my camera easier on hikes & waking tours. It fits my Nikon D7100, Sigma macro & a Tamron 70-300 lens. I have just enough room for filters, cards & my charger as well as a few personal items. I wouldn't mind a little more space, but this is actually nice and compact while still holding everything I need it to and providing excellent protection. It does go over your left shoulder instead of your right, but it is very comfortable. Overall, very pleased! 5 |

On hikes I often carry my DSLR at the ready. Stowing it in my backpack or a bag can get annoying whenever you need to grab it quickly. Hand holding it over several miles gets tiring real fast. So I cobbled together a solution of a carabiner, a thin camera strap that was permanently attached to the arca Swiss plate on the bottom of my camera. I would clip the carabiner to my backpack strap and the camera would hang in front of me. It works however it was not easy to unclip the carabiner and being only attached to one backpack strap, it put a strain one my one shoulder. Also, having only one connection point, my camera swayed a lot over rough terrain. I needed a better solution. I looked around and found the anchor links. This provided the perfect solution. I can now attach the clips to both my backpack's shoulder straps and both links to my arca Swiss plate. I can quickly and easily remove my camera from the clips with one hand. I now have redundancy in case one of the links break. My camera doesn't sway as much over rough terrain and my camera properly hangs upside down with its weight distributed evenly on both of my shoulders. Also, I can still mount my camera to my ball head without any issues. It has made hiking really enjoyable especially on hikes that are several miles long. It has solved so many problems for me. It is simple, elegant and efficient, the hallmark of great inventions. What a great solution! 5 |

I bought this bag specifically for taking my camera on day hikes. While the compartment for the camera is a little smaal, it takes not more than your camera with lens attached and one more lens (which is enough for me when hiking) the bag sits very well on your back and it is great to be able to attach the camera to the straps leaving both your hands free for climbing the rocks. It is also great to have the option to put a hydration pack in the bag. I can wholeheartedly advise you, reader, to purchase this bag. 5 |

If you are a landscape photographer, then this one is a must in your backpack. Best with: waterfalls, waterscapes, mid-day shots where the light is harsh, etc.. Word of Caution: Pay attention when you use it at wide-angle focal lengths as it may cause un-even polarization some times. 5 |
