Best Canon Analog Camera

Best Canon camera since my first Canon 20D

I've had a lot of high-end Canon film cameras in days gone by. I was never much for digital even after trying out a Canon SX10 more than a decade ago. Been using phone cameras ever since. After searching through the new digital cameras from Canon, nothing really stood out. I switched to a Nikon search and this beauty came up. I love it. Old school meets new school. It has everything on it an analog camera has except the film winder arm and exposure counter. If I want to delve into the menus, that's there too. Most shooting is done with the analog controls and it is very intuitive to use for someone that loves film cameras. If you miss the old days, don't miss this camera. The included bag is above and beyond anything I expected as a freebie. This is a well made, heavy duty bag that includes Velcro compartment panels to arrange as you please for your equipment. More pockets than you'll know what to do with too.

Had the Canon Powershot 5 megapixel and loved it, but wanted more resolution which I got with the 12.5 megapixel Powershot. Also, appreciate that this camera has image stabilization and is even more compact than the Powershot I used prior and which still works great. Best added features are the image stabilization and the ability to review shots without turning on the whole camera (lens extension, etc.) which saves battery life and makes this even better. As mentioned, this is another wonderfully well thought out Canon camera. And as a user of Canon's analog 1N, their top of the line in analog SLRs, I am convinced from user experience that Canon is the absolute best in this line of business.

Best. Analog. Shotgun Mic. Ever. Hands down. If you can afford this mic.....get it. So crisp and clear!!! There are other great shotgun mics out there that have a really warm sound like the Neumann KMR 81 i MT which is also an amazing shotgun mic! I also use my Sennheiser MKH8060 for documentaries and reality tv and it is by far my favorite for those applications (although it is actually quite good in narrative too. Just picks up a lot of background noise) because it is so forgiving on off-axis sound and doesn't add any discoloration to any off-axis dialogue/sound! But like I said......Schoeps is still the best in my opinion. From my list from budget - very good - best....it would have to be: Rode/Audio Technica - Sennheiser/Neumann - Schoeps.

This is the must have film for every analog camera, its reliable and at a very accesible price.
