I bought the Rolls Headphone Amplifier to allow several people to simultaneously monitor an audio feed and it has worked well. A power-cube is included for use when a power outlet is available, however I am using it in the Field so the 9v battery which can power it allows me to use the Rolls Amplifier anywhere. I am pleased with the rugged metal construction and the simple power switch and individual level controls, the Rolls sounds wonderful and I have tested it with several different portable Recorders and Headphones and I am quite pleased and would certainly purchase it again and can recommend it wholeheartedly. 5 |

This is probably the best solution for a portable, pro headphone amplifier at the $ price point. What sold me about this unit was its wide range of input configurations and the fact that it does have both size headphone output jacks, which is perfect for working with clients who have their own headphones but not the adapter. These amps have plenty of clean, quiet gain. More than you will need and enough to blow up cans. It doesn't have an input trim so you ought to have some gain control at your source output. Your best bet is to run signal into this thing at unity gain. It is built very well and has a solid, steel chassis. Built in the USA, too.All in all a great piece of equipment that will save the day for only $ 5 |

I am using this headphone amplifier as a distribution amplifier to route audio to a couple of devices and it is working great. I like the fact that each output has its own audio adjustment. 5 |

It's a great headphone amplifier, but what's also nice is it has one output for monitor speakers, with a volume knob control. We send this to the powered speakers in our school's edit lab, making it very easy to adjust volume independently to the headphones or the speakers at our Instructor station iMac. 5 |

I selected this headphone amplifier for my home studio after comparing many alternatives for one primary reason: Discrete, balanced inputs for all signals. Even though my snake from control room to studio is only 50 feet, it is enough to pick up line frequency hum for units with unbalanced inputs. The Tascam MH-8 has individual, Left/Right balanced inputs for 2 shared and 8 individual channel inputs which gives enormous flexibility on the back-side patch panel. Having 8 output channels is also an advantage vs the more typical 6 since most computer interfaces and mixers have groups of 8 channels for more of me use. The sound quality is very good, clean and dominated by the quality of the headphones used. I'll be picking up a 2'nd unit, chaining the 2 common inputs, and adding 8 more discrete inputs. I'm very satisfied with this unit. 5 |

I am enjoying using these headphones. Although, I need to purchase an headphone amplifier to work with my mackie which I will purchase with B&H. I ordered some stuff from @ a week prior to ordering from B&H. They both came the same day. 4 days for B&H and 11 days for @ and B&H didn't charge for shipping for $. There is no $ minimum and they ship within hours. You can't beat that. 5 |

This is an incredible DAC, which also is a pre-amplifier with a headphone amplifier. The only thing I miss is the balance control, but that's OK. Easier better than my other two DACs. 5 |

Ill first start by saying that this amplifier has a nice sturdy metal build. While there are many uses for this device I am using it along side my mixer board. Sometimes I need an extra headphone out and this works well. I just took a long 1/4 cable and plugged it into one of my mono outs and then into this Polsen amplifier. Since it is a mono source you can simply move the internal switch from stereo to mono. That way you can have sound in both of your headphones. So far it works great for the way that I'm using it and its plenty loud. Just be careful when sliding the case back on as you can accidentally pinch some exposed wires that hang near the battery tray. The only thing I have not tested is how long the batteries will last as you will need batteries to operate it. This would be a great option for live performers or someone like me who just needed an extra headphone out. [I received this product in exchange for my honest review.] 5 |
