Best experience with a Mac laptop since my original computer, a Mac Powerbook back in the late 1990s. Smoother, faster and a step above my current Mac Mini (16gb ram, 3+GHz, etc.). Does everything in Photoshop quickly and quietly, love the M1 chip and the Touch Bar, which I had avoided and didn't think I'd like but do. Very portable. Very cool. Very happy with my purchase. Those who bemoan the lack of connection ports should be assuaged by the many 3rd party plug-in USB C hubs on the market. They provide USB ports of every description as well as an SD card reader and an HDMI port for your monitor. These things look good and don't detract from the appearance of the computer, many of them look like they were designed to blend in with the computer, because they were.

We went with this card because of it's compatibility with Mac. So far we're happy. It's pretty quiet, fast and works. We're using Mac OS 10.15.x on a Mac Mini and an external Razor X eGPU enclosure. The speed difference is night and day. The difference is so vastly better that we plan to retest to make sure what we're experiencing is real. Of course for the cost you would expect that.

I am primarily a Mac guy, so I wasn't sure about compatibility issues with my laptop. I needed just a couple of USB ports and didn't want to lose the one USB-C port I had. Works out perfectly. Recognized, no glitches or speed issues.

You buy this because you want complete compatibility with a mac and the screen is VERY nice. I did not go with the antiglare and I am happy. The power supply and new cables allow you to directly power your new MacBook Pro from the monitor! You can ditch the brick on your power strip. The sound is nice/good, but surprisingly not as good as my 8 year old iMac. You probably already know the cam is horrible, but for me, it's still usable, it could be far worse. The included cable is waaaaay too short, I think it's 30 inches. You want a longer Apple cable, the options are $129 or $159! And this to the already very high price of the monitor, and I chose the VESA mount and put a pair of these on Ergotron arms and overall am very happy. As they say, buy the best, you only cry once.
