I had been using an Anker USB-C 5-in-1 hub with my 2019 MacBook Pro, but the HDMI output was so-so, and I really wanted to do away with the extra ethernet dongle I had for hardwiring, and the stupid short cable on it was always a pain because it was RIGHT THERE beside the laptop. The CalDigit dock fit the bill as a replacement after comparing a variety of other models, and the fact it has Power Delivery (a must!), dual HDMI outputs of 4K @ 60Hz, as well as enough USB C and A ports to suit my needs. I like the fact it has Thunderbolt *to* the computer to handle the bandwidth of all these ports, and the lower cost of not having TB ports on the dock itself, as I still have 3 on the computer if I really need them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Sony Wireless Noise-Cancelling Headphones are amazing. I find that the included USB cable is too short for charging with a desktop computer so I used my own USB Type-C cable and adapter which worked out perfectly. While they are charging there is a red indicator light which goes out once they are fully charged. The 30+ hour battery life is more then sufficient. I love that you can charge them for about 10 minutes and get 5 hours of usage. The touch sensor controls are easy to use. These are so comfortable to wear, they are lightweight and where they cup over your ears is very soft. You can easily adjust them for the size and shape of your head and they stay put. They work great for when I want to listen to music while in the same room with someone who is watching television because the noise cancelling is amazing, I can honestly say I can not hear the television at all, not can I hear anyone in the same room speaking.. I have used them with my computer, tablet and T.V. and my husband has used them with his phone and we both are amazed at the sound quality. I love the hard shell case to protect them when not in use or when you want to take them with you when you leave the house, the cords have their own little compartment as well as the headphones. I absolutely love that they have Alexa built in. I highly recommend these headphones.

It's compact size and the ability to power it from my computer USB port make it very convenient. I like the information it provides during the charging process. Easy to tell the state of charge as it is charging. It's the only one I carry with me and use to top off my battery frequently because of its convenience.

It has a nice weight to it and doesn't slide around on my desk. Charging is from the back of my monitor via USB-C cable. Lighted keys are nice.

Had this for about two weeks now and absolutely love it. Pairing this with a 16 MacBook Pro, and it's amazing how much this simplifies and augments my desk. I now just have one USB-C cable connecting my laptop to the monitor and that gives me: charging (no more apple power brick needed), huge 4K external monitor, wired ethernet network, wired USB printer, standalone charging for my phone, with still multiple ports available for the items I use more occasionally: e.g. scanner. Build quality is rock solid, easy to raise and lower. As a software engineer, I thought I might be trying this more in portrait mode. The monitor is easy to swivel and change modes, but honestly I find that it's just too big/tall to use it vertically with comfort. If you want to use it vertically, I'd suggest a desk that's especially deep so that you can have it be further away from you. Couldn't be happier with this purchase -- what took me so long?!!

Best experience with a Mac laptop since my original computer, a Mac Powerbook back in the late 1990s. Smoother, faster and a step above my current Mac Mini (16gb ram, 3+GHz, etc.). Does everything in Photoshop quickly and quietly, love the M1 chip and the Touch Bar, which I had avoided and didn't think I'd like but do. Very portable. Very cool. Very happy with my purchase. Those who bemoan the lack of connection ports should be assuaged by the many 3rd party plug-in USB C hubs on the market. They provide USB ports of every description as well as an SD card reader and an HDMI port for your monitor. These things look good and don't detract from the appearance of the computer, many of them look like they were designed to blend in with the computer, because they were.
