Best Computer Monitors For Macs

Best RAM on the market for MACs in my opinion. Reliable.

I finally convinced accounting to let the creative team work with Macs. This is the third one we've added, and everyone is thrilled with them. Yes, there's the iMac Pro and the new Mac Pro, but for what these Minis cost, coupled with the fact that we already owned 3 monitors for every computer, the Mini can't be beat for everyday Photoshop / Illustrator, coding, and moderate Premiere Pro / After Effects projects. To save a few extra $$$ up front, I bought all of them with base memory and upgraded to 64GB (the only thing you can upgrade). Also went with 256GB SSD's and later added 1TB external thunderbolt NVME drives and moved the User Accounts onto them. The built-in UHD-630 GPU is fine for general purpose use on 3 monitors. I added an eGPU to one of these to run 4 monitors.

I've purchased many Macs as well as monitors (Apple and other brands) over the years. A few years back I ordered some for my studio designers that were other brands as Apple seemed to be backing out of the display business. When I was in the market for a new work station this summer I did a lot of poking around, and saw a few of the top rated choices in action before pulling the trigger. The Apple Studio Display really seemed to be the best package of features and performance within the price range. While it's not inexpensive, It's a great creative tool and works flawlessly with my MacBook and workflow.

As at work we have several Macs, when I needed to bring an iMac home at the start of this Covid mess, I wanted to upgrade the iMac I was going to take home, so I bought this RAM kit (2 x 16GB) for my office computer and then used the RAM that was in my office iMac (4 x 8GB) to upgrade the iMac that I am currently using at home. Because of the nature of my job, I still have to work some in the office, and this RAM has worked just as well as the RAM that originally came with my office computer. I have used Photoshop and Final Cut Pro with other apps open, and all has been working well. I bought this kit for my office computer, so that if I decide to take it up to 64GB, I can buy this kit again.

I have purchased many macs over the years, and never forgo AppleCare. If just one thing goes wrong with the computer, it pays for itself. The customer service is excellent, and if they cannot fix the problem, they replace the computer. It's a no-brainer in my estimation.

This MacBook is fast. I've owned a Macintosh computer since the early fat Macs came out back in 1984. This one blows everything away. Everything I throw at it works so smoothly. Even Zoom backgrounds work great without a green screen. Transferring everything from my previous MacBook was trivial and took less than 15 minutes transferring via wifi.

With the introduction of the new M1 Macs I was going to wait till the prices of the last generation MacBooks dropped way down. However reading the reviews of the M1 it was clear that the new macs are so superior that I would be wasting my money purchasing anything else. It is everything I thought it would be and so much smaller than the old MacBook I'm replacing. Since I also have an iMac for photo processing and computer modeling I have the luxury of waiting till more native applications are available that can take full advantage of the m1 processor. However I'm finding it has quickly become my computer of choice and I can easily go a full day without the battery running low. One of the best purchase decisions I've made.

I am an educator with a classroom full of Macs! We are always needing to transfer items from computer to computer. The Passport makes this very easy to move files between students. Of course, it came formatted and ready to go! Love the portability offered with this device and the fact that it is USB powered!
