Best Condenser Mics For Studio Recording

You will not regret spending just about $75.00 on this "budget" condenser microphone. It's great for vocals and voiceovers. Yes, the noise level (at about 20db) is slightly worse than in a comparable Rode mics but (especially if you are recording vocals to music) this noise is negligible and will not affect your recording. It captures 30 to 20000 hz (humans can hear in the range of 20 to 20000). In the real recording world, you will probably not care that much for any sounds below 80hz thus this mic does what $1K mics do without breaking your bank. Highly recommended and get it from B&H - best price, best customer service and people you can trust.

I bought two of these packages so I would have the two medium condenser mics along with some other medium and large condenser mics for up close recording of individual instruments and use the two pencil mics to capture the stereo image from back in the audience. These two mics in this package do not disappoint -- the aural quality and clarity is great and considering the price they are phenomenal.

Used in both live sessions and studio, often with some heavy large cap condenser mics on fully extended telescoped arm. Performs flawlessly.

Spent hours testing dozens of studio condenser mics, and the only one that sounded ever so slightly better than the AT4033 was the TLM 103. The very minor sound quality superiority of the 103 did not justify the significantly higher price. Went with the 4033 and have had absolutely no regrets. It has been a reliable studio workhorse for years of recording voiceovers, and has survived transport unscathed thanks to the sturdy case. The shock mount is another welcomed addition. You would be hard pressed to find a better sounding mic for less.

bought this for a small home project studio. Very cheap for 2 condenser mics. A/B these mics against shure sm27 condenser. Both me and my kid liked the 2020 better, felt it was clearer and more realistic sounding on both voice and acoustic guitar. The 2021 sounded thinner with less bottom end. We'll use them on drums, guitar cabinets.

For what it is, it works. I can now use one of my high-end studio mics when recording youtube instructional videos on my iPad. Wish it were stereo ... but I can use one of my bigger/bukier interfaces for that.

We use these for patching and for vocal studio mics, anywhere where we don't want to introduce noise into a mix in the studio. We also use them in patching for our live recording rig. Where we don't use them is the Live stage. Even with the warranty and their great durability, they are too expensive to be torn up.

Great cord. I use it for my Rode NT5 mics recording live shows and some in-studio performances. Have never had trouble with line noise, or faulty connectors. Plus with the white and gray ones I got, they never get mixed up and accidentally taken.

I needed a new mixer for permanent installation at my church. A friend of mine with extensive experience in the recording industry recommended the Mackie VLZ4 series for their build quality and design for live recording as opposed to studio recording (previous mixer was for studio recording). I went with the 32-channel model so that I could have everything plugged in at the same time: the 16-channel snake that runs to front of house, 4 wireless mics, 4 ceiling mics, and 2 computers. We have 4 mono channels leftover for future growth. I love that this board has everything I need (post-fader aux sends, EQ, compressors) and very little of what I don't need (FX). The sound quality is fantastic - very rich and warm natural sound. Many people commented to me about how big the thing is, but we had the space for it and the 24-channel model wasn't big enough for my needs.
