I was debating the RTX 3060 with 12gb VRAM, vs this one. Decided on this one, figuring that this is a generation newer. The 8 gb VRAM seems to be enough for my need. Very quiet. Ventilation is great. The temperature stays on the low end even when I export video. 5 |

this cable ARGB mod is so great that i order 2 .. one for the 3060 NVIDIA vga i have and another for the CPU sockets of the motherboard and it looks so great on it : plus with the Lian li software to control the fans and the strimer my pc case inside looks like a concert stage with a lots of lightings lol 5 |

I am not a gamer, but I do a fair amount of video editing in DaVinci Resolve Studio. Before I purchased the 3060, I had a PNY 1660 ti installed in a Dell XPS 8940 running an Intel Core i7 and a 350W PSU. Using the original setup, I rendered a 1 minute 50 second timeline in 1 minute. I noticed the cpu cores would get warm (80-85C) and the cooling fan would speed up noticeably. Once I installed a 500W PSU and the 3060, rendering for the same timeline reduced to 37 seconds, the cpu temps did not exceed 65C and the cooling fan did not speed up. I also noticed in editing mode that video playback was smoother. A big thank-you to B&H's Mendel for tech support in helping me in my purchase decision. 5 |
