I'm an amateur photographer and an architect and have accumulated a lot of slides and negatives I shot from the 60's thru the 8o's. I purchased this scanner to archive my slides and negatives. In making the selection I researched what was on the market but ultimately asked the professionals at B&H their opinion. They recommended the OpticFilm 8200i Ai Film Scanner. I started using it a few days ago and had a few questions about how to get up and running I again reached out to B&H who provided excellent follow-up advice. I also called the folks at Plustek and they walked me through some setup issues, even remotely accessing my computer to solve my computer software conflicts. I've been using the scanner for a couple of days now and I'm impressed by the ease of use, quality of the scans and the product and would highly recommend this scanner and the folks at B&H. 5 |

This computer is definitely for work. Its target is graphic designers, video editors, sound technicians, 3D editors and photographers with great work flow. I honestly thought it would not surprise me, but I'm definitely surprised. I bought more memory for a total of 20gb. and... well, working with this computer is a breeze. Speed, security, multitasking, upgrade capability are its principal virtues. The machine is loud, over 24 lbs. but it's a desktop computer. 5 |
