I have 3 computers. All are running 24/7. My main rig (email/word processing etc)has it's own dedicated monitor but my other 2 which are the faster machines are my photographic server and processing rigs. As I only need to see my photo server display occasionally, I decided to use a KVM switch. I had a Belkin (VGA) switch which I tried. That really was a piece of junk. So I bought this one (from B&H) and it was a breeze to install and so far has performed flawlessly. I have had no problems with Windows 7 updates as reported by another reviewer. Yes it is a little expensive but, guess what, you get what you pay for (most of the time!)

I am very surprised by the processing and quality of the tripod, i was looking for a simple and above all stable tripod for my desktop. Thanks to this device i got unusual freedom and can quickly and easily connect my main camera or microphone. I purchased two of these and configured them as a mirrored pair in my desktop computer that I use primarily for photo processing. Working very well so far.
