Best Desktop Powered Studio Monitors

Bought this amp to power some non-powered studio monitors I had gotten for my desktop editing system. ... Easy setup with regular 12 gauge wire. Great sound and controls. Very solid amp. The sound is great and crisp! 5 |

I have powered up my old Tannoy System 8 monitors in my home studio after using various powered speakers the past few years. This little Pyle amp makes them sound as good or better than my old Kenwood that pooped out 10 years ago. They have such good bass that I don't need a sub. I am pleasantly surprised by this inexpensive piece of gear. I even like the the blue light. Go Pyle! 5 |

It is an ideal volume control between my mixer and self-powered studio monitors. Nice fit and finish but smooth and elegant in operation too. The single large volume knob is smooth and allows for granular level of volume control. The mute button is a nice touch too. You can see, feel, and hear the German engineering that produced this. 5 |

I use this to provide input to a pair of JBL LSR308 powered studio monitors from my computer. Truly plug n play. Great sound quality. Only nit to pick is that the install would look cleaner if the USB and XLR connections were on the same face. 5 |

I bought this for a desktop computer setup after hearing great things about Kali Studio Monitors. I had the Kali Audio IN-5 monitor spears for several months. Now that I have the subwoofer the experience is even better! I'm using a headphone jack to RCA connecting the subwoofer to my motherboard (PC). Then use XLR cables to connect to my Speakers. The bass for gaming is incredible. Optional foot pedal switch input that lets you turn it off easily when you want to be stealthy. 5 |

These clamps are the best. I use these clamps to hold camera lights, boom arms, and my desktop studio monitors stands in place. Anyone who works in the production field needs these in their gear case. 5 |

I've always kept studio monitors in my editing bay and before Thunderbolt docks, I never had a problem with 60hz buzz. 3 iterations of Thunderbolt and 3 docks later, I've got all kinds of interference and ground loops, and having made a recent switch in desktop setups, a 60hz buzz with all kinds of tonal electronic whining reared its ugly head. It was so bad I had to eliminate my studio monitors from my desktop, which just isn't right. Toss in the HE18 and voila, it's all gone! For a passive unit, it's well built and even looks nice. Plus, it seems pretty tough so I wouldn't have any qualms about taking it into the field. Totally worth it! 5 |
