I mostly take portraits of my dogs and kid and action shots of dog sports. I LOVE this camera. The autofocus is SO much better than my D7000, totally worth the money to make the switch!

Sports, Wildlife, Pets, Weddings, Landscape, Portraits. This camera does it all well. Great battery life. Weatherproof is a plus on the stormy wet USA Coast Combine with an L lens and it will match or beat anything below $6000.00 Cons: Built like a Brick, durable but heavy. $$$,

This lens is on my camera 80% of the time. I use it for bird, insect, portraits, sports, airplanes, and even some landscapes when you want to narrow your shot to something specific. I was hesitant whether or not to buy this, but what pushed me was Moose Peterson, who has the best of everything uses it and did a video on it highly recommending it. Normally these pro endorsements don't mean much to me but this one did for whatever reason. I am glad I took a chance on it. It is tack sharp at all ranges, even 300mm and even wide open. Stop it down to f8 and it is crazy sharp. I can not recommend this it enough. If it got stolen I would replace it in a minute. Best lens I own. It is really good for birds in flight. You can't go wrong with it.

I use the a6000 for nature shots, for portraits, sports photography and for vacations. It is well equipped for all. It is light weight, it is fast, and it is programmable (and has programmes). I love the camera, hands down. One negative thing about the camera: It will not take a fool days outing on one battery. But thats life. It will also - fairly easy - overheat. One negative thing - in connection to the camera and gear line: I bought a Zeis 16-70 mm lens to go with it. The quality is great, but I do wish that a 18-200 had been available (like my old Nikon). I know that such a lens sacrifices quality for variaty, - I do miss being able to do tele-close-ups without having to change lenses back and forth all the time.

Best B/W photo paper out there, especially for portraits.
