I've had 10 different digital cameras. I've done professional video and stills throughout my working life. My G9II (and Gh6) is the best camera I've ever used. The AF on the G9II for BIF and sports is extremely good. The video is a professional grade documentary or B roll cinema camera. Pair it with Panasonic PL grade lenses and it becomes a tool with which you can do your best work. The handheld hires is amazing.

I am trying to get setup for semi-professional video creation and wanted to generate good quality audio. After watching a lot of mic reviews, I decided to order a pair of the Samson C02 mics. While these are sold as instrument (drums, acoustic guitar, etc) many people have given them favorable reviews for dialog and even live action. Having received mine, I have done a number of tests both for inside dialog as well as taking them outside to check their sensitivity with ambient sound. I am using a Sound Devices mixer so the whole sound chain is pretty quiet, and I did not hear very much self-noise from these mics while they were able to pick up very faint sounds outdoor such as leaves rustling and birds chirping. They are somewhat directional but certainly not in the same way as a proper shotgun mic. All in all I am very glad I purchased these and I expect them to be with me for a good while.

Micro four thirds is great for on the go shoots and semi professional needs. The video at 4k is great and it works well with adapters for other types of lenses. Do recommend.

Using for editing semi professional video. Great for getting all the way to the point where you're ready to hear your mix through a pair of reference monitors.

I decided to buy this prompter package for my semi-professional online video project. So far I have been really lucky. The teleprompter is stable and has all inputs I need to attach my components. Therefore it is also highly versatile and simple-to-use with almost all cameras (the prompter is used by my whole team). Moreover, it includes a pretty decent software that makes it even more easier to start and revise my own scripts. Different settings aren't a problem either as this lightweight is very transportable and the 60/40 positioning of the beamsplitter glass ensures that the prompter can display scrolling text from 15-17 feet away. This camera is fantastic. I am a digital artist who turns digital images into artwork to sell and consider myself semi-professional. I upgraded from a 6MP and 12X camera and, without alot of excess cash to throw around, found the SX20 IS to fit my budget perfectly and still gave me a much better camera. The zoom is real nice and have yet to find myself in a situation to need a tripod but will when I go out to do some night shots. The wide angle is perfect for my use and, although 18mm would have been my ideal, the tradeoff for a longer telephoto worked for me. The adjustable LCD screen is great even outdoors in the sun but to have the option of the viewfinder when necessary. The only downsides I've found so far are the lens cap which, despite purchasing a tether for it, I still lost it and the lens hood is a bit flakey and could easily come off the lens as there isn't much thread for it. All in all, I am quite pleased with this camera and would readily recommend it to others.
