Amazing design and implementation. I use it with my laptop guitar amp software for live performance. I compared the sound of PW50 with Yamaha HS80 studio monitors - sure you never get same clarity and fidelity but I could come up close enough in terms of frequency response, except for boominess around 300Hz. I'd be much happier if the low eq frequency was set lower and hi eq shelf was set higher - that would give better coloration options. I'd guess the speaker is not meant for general audio reproduction, (though it does a great job here too!) where it shines - is live sound reinforcement for small to mid size venues. The sound is reach and clear. The PW50 can be crazy loud while retaining good quality. The mixing options on the back are just brilliant. Size is great and comfy, materials are fine and manufacturing is very good. The low end - sure you won't get that chest thrust, but there is enough bass for sure even for a general bass guitar duties in case you need it for practice.
