In every way this is Garmin's best GPS...EXCEPT the screen is too fragile. I dropped it and cracked the screen. Any other GPS would have survives but this one did not. The screen is ultra bright and clear in any type of light but there is no protection such as a raised edge, to help protect it from a drop...even with this ...I love the GPX 5 |

I bought this unit about 3 weeks ago. I hate using my phone as a GPS on trips and I had an older Garmin that I broke the port on so I couldn't update the maps anymore. I'm really impressed with the unit and would recommend it without hesitation. The only thing I didn't like compared to my old Garmin...is that my old Garmin was a beefier material and seemed a little more heavy duty. That said...if you take care of it properly....that shouldn't be an issue at all. 5 |
