This is one clean device! The headphone clarity is incredible and the mic pre's are pristine, it's hard to believe all this for under $200. I did get a buzz in the line outputs until I switched to TRS cables, now it's as if there were no device between the computer and my studio monitors. 5 Stars from this user. Way to go MOTU! Possibly as good as an in ear headphone can get. The biggest problem is everything in the $100-$200 range now seems inadequate. These are very solid and well made but take some practice to find the perfect position. Once you do they are very comfortable. I just ordered custom ear plugs for these. My ear canals are at an odd angle and are narrow. Off the shelf plugs don't fit me perfectly, but for many they will. Try those first. The most noticeable audio quality is the depth of imagining. Very close to over the ear cans. 5 |

Best headphone purchase of my life. I read all of the reviews before buying: the earpieces too shallow, the grip too tight, the soundstage a little confined, not perfectly neutral, etc, etc. I disagree. Easily the most comfortable headphones I have ever put on. The sound is so present I have before been startled because it sounded like someone talking was behind me. As though you are listening to monitor speakers. So comfortable they don't shift around and I forget I'm wearing them even for 9 hours a day at work. They look brand new six months after I bought them. I have never heard or worn better, and I'm back at AKG to find more of the same. 5 |
