Best Headphones For Blocking Out Voices

This is the second one of these I've purchased, to get even more voices. Out of all the prophet follow-on synths that Dave Smith and Sequential have produced over the years, this one finally captures the sound of the famous Prophet-5. Some people complain that they followed the scheme of the original Prophet-5 a little too closely and left out some functions (like onboard effects) that recent synths seem to have, but I think Sequential arrived at the right balance on this unit.

I have had several headphones down through the years. These are the BEST ever.

These headphones offer great clarity, separation between voices and a flat, uncolored response ideal for studio work. They do have a high impedance, so a decent headphone amplifier is necessary to achieve the necessary gain without distortion. I'm using an Aphex Headpod 4, and they sound great, plenty enough headroom to drive these phones without distortion.
