Best Home Router And Wireless Access

I bought this router to accommodate a web/minecraft/media server, constant online gaming, excessive video streaming, and three wireless access points (my house has metal lathe, which acts like a faraday cage). Was previously using some Netgear garbage home user Wi-Fi router that couldn't keep up with the demand and was awful to manage. This router is a breeze to manage if you have at least basic networking knowledge. The 10 ports allow me to wire my server, computer, access points, and other peripheral gear to keep the wireless networks from getting congested. The quality of my home network improved dramatically and allowed me to actually utilize every drop of the gigabit ethernet we pay for. I also appreciate Ubiquiti's detailed firmware upgrade logs. I would absolutely recommend this router to anyone looking to have fast, easily configurable internet at home, and I'm sure it would hold up well for a small business too. 5 |

Replace your consumer grade wireless router you bought from @ with an EdgeRouter or USG from Ubiquiti and one of these access points and the days of dropped connections and flaky netflix are over. This access point has been shown in some studies to actually improve your IQ by a measurable amount as well as help bring harmony to your home. The glowing blue ring of wifi bliss is an added night lite bonus. (can be turned off)If your switch does not support POE you must use the supplied injector. The power cord on the injector is very short, so plan ahead. This unit does not even blink when faced with almost 20 wireless devices simultaneously connected. Phones, Rokus, laptops, Dish Hoppers, iPads, android tablets, etc. 5 |

I needed internet access in an old building next to my house. It is too far away from my house to be supported by my wireless router. However, it does share electrical wiring with my house. Running new Cat5 cables was not a good solutions for a variety of reasons so I decided to try TP-Link's AV100 Gigabit Powerline Starter kit. The setup was very easy, basically plug and play. The price was very affordable. While not as fast as a direct connection, it still meets my needs. 5 |

I have four of these, configured as access points. That means I have an ethernet cable connecting each to my router. It provides outstanding WiFi coverage to the rooms these are in. The 5G network in particular is crazy fast; I get 500+ mbps/s on my phone. I generally don't recommend extender mode, in which these units relay your phone's wireless signal to the router, via another wireless signal. 5 |

This is a sleek router with a beautiful interface and overall great functionality. I researched quite a bit to find a router which would cover my home and minimize, hopefully get rid of dead spots. This is a solid solution if hard wiring access points in a home is not viable. While you mayhave a small impact on speed/latency, it is relatively unnoticeable. IF you are able to use hard wire connections, then Ubiquiti access points or other whole home wifi systems may be worth looking into. However, this provides such a simple, clear, and easy solution that hardwiring can be avoided. The system comes with 3 items - 1 router and 2 mesh points. Placing the router centered in the home, and a mesh point on each end allows for maximum coverage over a larger area. I can now get Wifi all over my front and back yard, to the neighbors next door and across the street. You can even add additional mesh points down the road if necessary, or even another Amplifi router. Highly recommendif you are searching for a whole home wifi solution. *Note you will need available outlets in a good location, to plug in the mesh points, as they stay plugged in the wall. 5 |

I use this router at home with 2 other router to have adequate coverage. I have set it up as the main router and the other 2 as access points. It works great. It is easy to setup and updates itself. It even warns you of any threats. Support is very good so far. 5 |

The EdgeRouterX provides enterprise features including gigabit Ethernet, VLANs, DNS forwarding, a DHCP server and even a VPN server for your small home network at a consumer price. I paired mine with an Ubiquiti wireless access point for a complete home networking solution. The EdgeRouter X even provides PoE pass through to power my access point (note: this is not negotiated PoE, so you must make sure any device you will connect to port 4 on the router is compatible with pass through PoE before enabling the feature on the router). 5 |

The setup was so easy! I love that the router and access points are sleek in design allowing it to easily blend into our home decor. The range of coverage is great in my 2 story home and I cannot find any dead spots at all! The speeds are amazing compared to my old wireless router setup (Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000). I don't use the Google Assistant at all, but it's nice to know that there is that added feature if I choose to do so down the road. Most of all I love that I can control the settings through my mobile phone on Google's Home app. So EASY! 5 |

We are only a month in but I am really liking this way of doing our home wireless internet! 5 access points through the house are giving us great coverage. The other cool part is that with the software our guy installed we have a home network, a guest network and can build out more for other uses like a security camera system, one just for the kids devices (that we can then control the hours the network is on) and all kinds of other great features and reports. Not normal to do this for a house but I would recommend it... and these... to about anyone at this point! 5 |
