Best Laptop Docking Station For Home Office

Operate a home office and after a recent laptop change where I no longer had an option to use a docking station, I needed something to drive three (3) Dell Flat Panel Monitors. After researching, I came accross this device from Matrox. Easy to install with software that made the config simple. Would highly recomend this product. It works great!

I teleworked for a year trying to use my small, work laptop. Since I work for the government, I had no other options. When it became apparent that we would continue to telework, I decided to set myself up like my work office. I was assigned a new HP computer and immediately ordered the docking station that would accommodate it. We cannot use the USB ports on our computer for anything but a mouse (yes, we have to use a wired mouse!) so the docking station allows me to plug in two 24" screens, my external hard drive, my mouse and keyboard. It's just great to have all of those wires behind my system and my setup now is as good as it was when I was working in the office. This was money well-invested!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor is great for office work. It looks like 60Hz is the highest refresh rate, which is fine for most tasks but not ideal for gaming. The picture quality is beautiful, with bright and vibrant colors right out of the box. Whites are very clear, making it perfect for office use. The built-in laptop docking station is a big plus. I connected a wireless mouse, keyboard, and LAN cable to the monitor, and only needed one USB-C cable (included) to plug into my laptop for charging and all the peripherals. This setup really cuts down on desk clutter. I even wall-mounted it using the standard VESA mount holes, freeing up more desk space. The monitor is large enough to easily display two windows side by side in Windows. The outer bezels are small, though the back is a bit thicker because of the docking station. There are no built-in speakers, but it does have a 3.5mm jack for external speakers or headphones.

I had no idea that I could use my laptop with 2 monitors and all of my peripherals just by using a docking station. This is going to have a positive and significant impact on the way I work between the office and my home office. Thanks again Lenovo!

It’s compact and can be used with the stand horizontally or without the stand, vertically. It has the capacity of charging itself when plugged into the laptop. Plenty of outputs for USBs and HDMI cable. Very useful.

I work from home and use a laptop for work. This docking station allows me to work in a less cluttered area since all my cables are now located in the back of the laptop. The HP docking station is thin and does not take up much room either! Great product!

I selected this UPS for my home laptop, docking station and 2 large monitors. The UPS was tested with my setup and it was rated to last 60+ minutes. Not bad. My home networking equipment is already protected with this same exact UPS. It was tested to last 45 minutes on my networking devices: router, wifi, fiber, Ooma and various IoT devices.

Love my new monitors. I bought two and connected to my docking station from my laptop for working from home. Much bigger and brighter than my Dell screens at work. So nice to be able to see the details in AutoCAD drawings without having to constantly zoom in. I tried this on a flight simulator and the clarity and refresh rate were great and offered much realism.
