Best Laptop For Computer Programming 2017

Best laptop I ever have.

Best experience with a Mac laptop since my original computer, a Mac Powerbook back in the late 1990s. Smoother, faster and a step above my current Mac Mini (16gb ram, 3+GHz, etc.). Does everything in Photoshop quickly and quietly, love the M1 chip and the Touch Bar, which I had avoided and didn't think I'd like but do. Very portable. Very cool. Very happy with my purchase. Those who bemoan the lack of connection ports should be assuaged by the many 3rd party plug-in USB C hubs on the market. They provide USB ports of every description as well as an SD card reader and an HDMI port for your monitor. These things look good and don't detract from the appearance of the computer, many of them look like they were designed to blend in with the computer, because they were.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best picture I have seen on any laptop computer. Love the size, weight, speed and especially the small size of the new docking station. Everything is better than expected. I bought two just to have a backup.

I just doubled the RAM in my iMac 2017 and my computer is running so much better. I wish I would have changed out sooner!

The computer itself is great - Powerful enough to handle our daily programming duties (including multiple Vagrant boxes). The best part was B&H - Best Buy, Amazon, and even Apple's own store were backlogged for the particular model we needed... B&H had it in stock and 1 day delivery. It arrived in 1 day, well packaged, and exactly what was expected. Not to mention, the price was discounted - Yet the product is brand new.. To get a discounted price on Apple, you have to get refurbished. Forego that, go with B&H.

Decided to get the imac after my old macbook started experiencing performance issues and so far this computer has been great. I mostly use it for programming and other daily tasks but haven't had any issues so far.

I built a new computer and purchased 32 Gb of Memory and just purchased another 32 Gb. I use my system mostly for data science and programming. I often run analyses or have various VMs running and this ram is working excellently so far. I have also done some basic gaming and had no issues. Given that DDR5 is new I am hopping to use this product for at least the next 5 years.

Bought two of these, along with two collapsible laptop stands for our DSP programming team. Makes for a perfect IDF room workspace kit, I was so surprised at how comfortable the seat actually is! Just finished working for an entire week sitting on just this stool, can confirm it gets the job done and packs up very light.
