Best Mac Laptop For Computer Audio

Best experience with a Mac laptop since my original computer, a Mac Powerbook back in the late 1990s. Smoother, faster and a step above my current Mac Mini (16gb ram, 3+GHz, etc.). Does everything in Photoshop quickly and quietly, love the M1 chip and the Touch Bar, which I had avoided and didn't think I'd like but do. Very portable. Very cool. Very happy with my purchase. Those who bemoan the lack of connection ports should be assuaged by the many 3rd party plug-in USB C hubs on the market. They provide USB ports of every description as well as an SD card reader and an HDMI port for your monitor. These things look good and don't detract from the appearance of the computer, many of them look like they were designed to blend in with the computer, because they were.

These are THE BEST recordable DVD's out there for copying video/audio for a Mac. I have tried 4-5 different dvd's from various companies and all other ones chop up the video/audio and don't efficiently copy them. B&H has a great price ...

Bought this for my wife, who needed a new Mac laptop. She primarily uses a computer for browsing the Ethernet, doing Word documents, etc.. She loves the bigger screen and the M2 MacBook Air is pretty snappy for what she does. I loved the price over a MacBook Pro that wasn't needed for her use.In fact I have learned that I don't need the most powerful Mac computer for 95% of my usage.

We have battled hum problems with PC/MAC devices for years. DI's and isolation transformers have helped but never solved the problem. The Peavey USP-P is a no frills USB audio out box that is the perfect solution. We now have hum free audio from our presentation computer. On our MAC Pro it was plug and play. No drivers to load, no settings to change. We'll be getting this for all our computer interfaces in the future.

Signals from the Mac computer to the audio mixer sometimes had hum and/or were overdriving. This little 2:1 combiner took care of all the issues. We later bought a second one to use with our portable camera rig to clean up audio from various audio systems we would plug into. It does the job.

If all you need is to feed two channels of audio at modest sample rate into your computer (I fed a Mac) cheaply, then look no further.
