Best Mic To Record Classical Guitar

been using this with a pair of MXL CR21 mics to record classical guitar, paired with these mics it captures the finest of details with crystal clear quality, my only complaint is the lack of stock from being sold out but from my experience only takes around 5 weeks from a backorder which is not bad 5 |

This is my first time to buy a foot stool because I'm not really a classical guitar player. I just need one just to record one of my songs for which I play classical guitar. So I'm not familiar with foot stools, but I think this is very much good enough for my use, so I'm happy with it. And it was a good price for me, too. 5 |

I mainly record Pipe Organ and other classical type music from all guitar to a full orchestra if necessary...and even an occasional thunderstorm complete with hail! With the volume set right and you put the headphones on and take them off, the sound is basically identical. They are comfortable, fold up and one serious plus to me is the 3 different types of wire feeds a coiled cord, a long straight cord and a short one when it is used in close quarters. This is an excellent set of headphones for the money, I recommend them pretty highly. 5 |

Always use it on my Rode NT5 every time I record classical guitar music, considered expensive for me but happy with it. 5 |

The C3000 is my main mic, I use it on acustic instruments as Classical, Acustic and Portuguese Guitar, and also on Vocals and as a room mic. It sounds closer to what you hear in the room then any other mic, with a smooth top end to help you to get warm vocals. 5 |

I bought a pair of these to mic my C7 and classical guitar. Although I am still experimenting with various placements, all placements that I have tried have produced excellent results. Seems to be flat and accurate. 5 |

Bought this mic as an upgrade to some MXLs that came with a kit: 990 and 991. I record a classical Alvarez Yari and a Taylor 414 CE. The mic feeds into Focusrite Sapphire pro 24 and into a Mac Book Pro using Logic 9 LE monitored through M Audio BX5a I really like the sound. Much improvement over the MXLs. When I play back the track its kind of spooky - its literally like listening to myself (squeaks buzzes and all). It feels like a pro piece of gear. Very solid and the shock mount is a plus (though I don't really need it). I find that it works very well about 10 inches from the neck joint and to my left. The bass roll is really a great feature for taming the proximity effect especially on the classical and when tuned to a drop D (lots of low energy) I would have paid full price an felt like I got a good deal but rebate was even better. 5 |

Purchased in 1999 this mic still works after all these years. It didn't get much use, as I only used it to record acoustic guitar. Nevertheless, it can do a lot more than just acoustic recording. Build quality is great, sound is excellent, a wide dynamic range, and frequency response. With small condensers mic placement is critical, and the NT3 is a lot more forgiving than my AKG C1000s. 5 |

I use the mic to record vocals and acoustic guitar in my home studio. I find it clear and responsive across all frequencies, with little feedback. It feels solid and comes with a handy carry pouch for traveling. Overall, great value mic. 5 |
