[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best camera bag on the go. Can carry a mirrorless camera and still pack some space for other items such as a Water Bottle and a laptop or tablet.

The Best Mirrorless camera of 2018. I bought it via B&H Photo Video along with adapter and 24-70 f4 lens and its the sharpest lens and has vibrant colors and auto focus/tracking is the best in both Photo/Video. One of the best continuous auto focus camera which Nikon has produced for Video and it tracks the subject very well. If u are the Nikon shooter then u should grab it immediately. Its low light capability is another powerful feature and its in par with Sony alpha series. Battery performance is great but not the best - I was able to get around 700 raw files with one battery and thats almost double than what they mentioned in the advertisement ie. around 350 plus pics. Anyway I got 2 extra batteries for this camera so that i can shoot more photo/video diring events. ——- Downside —— Single XQD memory card slot but thats ok as i can take a risk on it. Never seen failure in my SD cards since i started photography in 2013 so I can take that risk.

Best addition to the camera. For the price it is an asset to any photography who wants quality close ups with a mirrorless camera.

All I ever wanted in a Mirrorless Camera.

This is exactly what I wanted in a 360º camera, especially the JPEG+DNG output and the ability to install plugin apps on the camera. The only complaint I have is the short battery life. I have a battery pack I carry with me and plug it in between shots to make sure I get through a shoot without the camera running out of juice. Everything else is wonderful.

I shot mostly street shots today using L Monochrome D and couldn't have been happier with my shots --I just love them and they were shot in jpeg you need to get this camera if you are into street shooting

I am amazed at the quality of the photos captured by this camera. The color rendition, edge and image acuity, especially with larger prints (8 x 10 for me) have exceeded my expectations, and are superior to anything I have previously enjoyed with either film or digital. I have run side by side tests comparing RAW to JPEG, and can't find any advantage to RAW-in fact the JPEG photos are superior. I suspect that the DIGIC 5 processer is the answer. I have avoided DSLR's until now because of their bulk and weight. However the SL 1 is smaller and lighter than my last Nikon SLR. I have large hands, but have had no problems with gripping the camera as a result.

A really feature full camera that shots RAW a jpeg. Great zoom as well as close up. Only drawback was the Haarlem of trying to register it on the Sony website.

I finally decided to digitize almost a thousand 35 mm slides from way back when. My unsuccessful first attempt involved a small, well rated dedicated slide converter, which, while easy to use, rendered slightly unfocused, oversaturated jpeg files with poor color balance. Heading back to the drawing board, I next tried the Nikon ES-1, coupling it via a 49-52mm step-up ring to a Canon EF-S 35mm F/2.8 Macro lens on a Canon body. I mounted the camera on a sturdy tripod, pointed it at a good light source, and manually focused the macro, taping down the focus ring to prevent movement as I switch between slides. Voila! My resulting digital images are sharp and clear, with great color balance because I'm using my camera's own sensor to copy the slide. I can adjust my camera for raw or jpeg, selecting whatever file size and quality I want for each slide. Each digital image has a small amount of black border caused by the slide mount, but that is easily cropped out during processing. It may not be the fastest slide copying technique around, but the results are impressive enough that it's well worth the cost of the Nikon ES-1 and the effort involved to use it.

This camera has the best jpeg high-contrast black and white mode around. The tonal range is just incredible. It reminds me of Kodak Technical Pan. I don't think the Leica Monochrome can compete.
