Best Mirrorless Camera For Run And Gun Video

Very handy for run-n-gun audio on my mirrorless camera. I've got a R�de Videomic Pro on one channel and a Sennheiser wireless lav receiver going into the other.

I'm a run and gun shooter for the corporate video I produce, but every now and then I have a podium/stage event or sports event where I know I'll have my telephoto lens glued to my camera. In those cases, I do like to take the time to slide this onto my handheld rig rails and support the lens. It makes telephoto work more stable since you remove the subtle movement that occurs at the lens mount, and also reduces the strain on the camera/lens mount interface for big lenses. Just be sure you get the right height of vertical adjustment so it can reach your lens (there are two different sizes I believe).

This is a great compact video mic for your run and gun camera!!! The dead cat has cut virtually all the wind ive run into. I do alot of outdoor filming and i couldnt live without this mic!!! My audio quality has really improved since switching to this mic from the onboard mic in my camera!!!

While I prefer how the Rode Video Mic Pro sounds, its drawback is relying on often sub-par camera mic pre-amps. Not so, with the LensHopper VP83F. Plus, its not tied to your camera, so you can close mic your subject with a boom. And if you're using it for run and gun attached to the cold shoe of your camera, you get the added bonus of having an in-camera back up recording via the mic out. I mostly use it for run and gun, but it has also saved my bacon more than once, when a subject's movements made the lav recording unusable.

This is a roll small enough to carry in your camera bag. In this new run and gun video economy, it's important to travel light. Of course, the tape is exactly what you expect.

Been trying to balance out my rig for handheld run and gun video. I love this very balanced on camera and ran all day with 5R, monitor and fill light.

I cannot comment on still photography, since I use this camera for video purpose only. It is perfect video camera for run-n-gun shooter. I use this camera with zhiyun crane and it works just fine. In short, this is GH4 with built in glass and ND filters. Very useful smartphone app controls zoom, auto and MANUAL! focus, shutter speed and much more.

I had the original version of this lens when I had a Canon C100 video camera. I now have the new version of this lens and it is my preferred run&gun lens on my Z CAM E2-F6 video camera. Image quality is excellent.

The Best Mirrorless camera of 2018. I bought it via B&H Photo Video along with adapter and 24-70 f4 lens and its the sharpest lens and has vibrant colors and auto focus/tracking is the best in both Photo/Video. One of the best continuous auto focus camera which Nikon has produced for Video and it tracks the subject very well. If u are the Nikon shooter then u should grab it immediately. Its low light capability is another powerful feature and its in par with Sony alpha series. Battery performance is great but not the best - I was able to get around 700 raw files with one battery and thats almost double than what they mentioned in the advertisement ie. around 350 plus pics. Anyway I got 2 extra batteries for this camera so that i can shoot more photo/video diring events. ——- Downside —— Single XQD memory card slot but thats ok as i can take a risk on it. Never seen failure in my SD cards since i started photography in 2013 so I can take that risk.
