Great sound for our video editing using a Mac Pro.

These semi-open headphones are about the best for my money.  I use them for video editing when monitors are not available.

Bought the 6-core Mac Pro for heavy video editing. Already owned a 2012 MBP 13 RETINA, 2011 Mini, 2012 iMac 27, and 2009 Mac Pro. Using the 2009 Mac Pro for capture, and editing on the iMac. The workflow involved with capturing in ProRes 422, then editing, rendering, and compressing was just taking too much time. Not anymore. Like the title says, this beast is everything they promised. Internal read/writes are @ 900MB/s, there are tons of TBv2 ports, enough USB3, and it's sleek & beautiful. Using dual 27 HDMI monitors, watching Netflix, editing video in FCX, importing video from my portable external storage (using a TB to eSATA adapter)...all at the same time...and doing whatever else I feel like, has proven to be, well, not even a strain. I would suggest the 6-core or better for rendering segmented MOV's, since core quantity will still be important in that scenario. Having 6-cores at over 3.5GHz is just honking awesome. Although a second HDMI would've been cool, I find the TB to HDMI dongle to be quite acceptable. It it expensive? Yes, and that is a drawback, but it is a class apart, and actually made in the USA. I don't actually have enough/proper words to describe the coolness of this tech. If you're on the fence...don't be.

Hooked up to my Macbook Pro to have 2 monitors for video editing. Gave me plenty of real estate for working.

I've been looking for a good pair of desktop monitors for a while now. My primary use is video editing with Premiere Pro. I also use them for listening to the audio from an SDR (Software Defined Radio) and general purpose use ie: streaming video. These fit my needs perfectly. The are the perfect size for my limited desk space. Best of all the sound quality is awesome! They totally blow away the built in speakers in my laptop. The detail is amazing compared to what I was used to. I have no need for a sub with my setup.

Very nice monitor for the price. If you are into gaming, this monitor is not for you. But it is great for video editing. I have two high end computers and you just can't say no for the price. I use two monitors and the price was right, and the picture quality is very clear. I like them. I had the same monitors on my old computer for at least 10 years, and I was surprised to see they still sell the same ones. You can't go wrong for $199.00 each.

I use tis for a full video editing system (computer, monitors, speakers, etc) and it works great. Plenty of outlets and streamlined designed for space efficiency.
