Recently (7-21-2013) I purchased the world's best Nikon D7100 DSLR 18-105mm f/3.5G ED VR DX Lens camera from B&H. I wanted the best possible tripod and after careful searching for 3 weeks zeroed in on the Vanguard Altra Pro 263AB Tripod and ordered it from B&H. When I received the Tripod on 8-8-2013, I was trilled to find the many functions i.e. the smoothness of extending the legs, the ability to turn the legs in 20, 50, and 80 degree angles in moutaineous setting, the three level bubbles to perfectly align the camera to horizontal position, the 360 degree compass to rotate the camera to a set degree, and the sturdiness of the tripod. The B&H packing was fantastic! The Tripod is a GEM, the best in the world. Had a 6D since 2013, after switching from Nikon (D600 oil on sensor issue did it for me...) and since then loved the 6D. Just now upgraded to the Mark II and its a thoughtful evolution from the 6D. Everything is slightly better, even the Bluetooth implementation to work with the camera app is a real improvement. Flip screen is great, AF better, more resolution. Ignore YouTube reviews, most of the reviewers going crazy on dynamic range, heck, just exposure normally and its all good, I don't have to make white from black...just saying. Its the best value DSLR if you ask me, everything considered, and lenses are a huge part of that... 5 |
