Best sound of them all!! Noise cancelling is second to none.

I tested 4 other noise cancelling headphones and returned them all finally settling on the WH-1000XM3 for a the following reasons: 1. Very Long Battery Life 2. Setup app allowed me to fine tune the sound to my taste 3. Noise cancelling is top rate 4. Sound is good but not as good as my audiophile wired headphones, and I wouldn't expect them to be. 5. Have 2 other Bose Noise-Cancelling headphones over the years and I always felt somewhat disappointed in the quality of the noise cancelling, but figured this is what it is. Now I know differently. These Sony headphones literally shut down nearly all the noise where I can't hear anyone talking to me and priced reasonably, unlike the Bose or Apple headphones.

Without a doubt the BEST headphones I’ve ever owned, the sound, the noise cancelling, the transparency mode all top tier. They’re comfortable for long periods of time and I love that the design is slim to the head for a very sleek look. As well as the control joy stick is genius I love everything about these headphones

No complaints. Best noise cancelling headphones out there. Battery life is great and it made riding on a 12 hour plane ride bearable

Ive had several other noise cancelling headphones by Bose (QC35 II) and Beats (Studio Wireless) and I always hailed Bose as king of Noise Cancelling headphones. Now the only thing that Bose has over Sony is the durability of the headphones, my Bose headphones I could pretty much bend however I wanted and they wouldn't break. The Sony's are a bit more stiff, but the material is still premium! I originally went with Bose because of their comfort though, I like to wear my headphones for an extended period of time and the old Sony's (XM1 and XM2) got uncomfortable after a few hours. With the new design however, I can see myself wearing these all day! What does Sony have to offer that's better than Bose? - Noise cancelling (much better) - Sound quality - Battery life - Customization through app - Accessories (better quality auxiliary charger cords, as well as a good airplane adapter!!) - USB-C Charger!!! (as a MacBook Pro owner this was a must, I hated micro-usb so much) - Comfort? (I'm still testing this out but ill update in a few weeks if its better or on-par with the Bose QuietComfort 35 ii)
