I needed to connect an outdoor wireless security camera to Wifi but the signal on the main router wasn't strong enough to penetrate a thick masonry wall. The TP-link solved this problem. I set it up inside at the wall needing signal penetration but in line with the router. It worked perfectly - having a booster closer to the camera did the trick. 5 |

Highly recommended for short distance use. Best 1080p cameras I have used thus far. Need Protect NVR or Protect on Controller key to run. Bear it mind, it is not waterproof (without the upside-down adapter) but can be mounted right-side-up under shelter in the elements. Adjustment angle could be better for some of my use cases. 5 |

I put this on a utility pole in my driveway to power an access point and cameras. The cameras are for security, the WiFi is for streaming music while I work in the yard. 5 |

Simple installation. If you have Xfinity Advanced Security, turn it off using their app before adding the cameras to your wifi network, then turn the security back on. Love the automatic tracking feature with using either the motion or human detection. Have one installed in a detached structure with no HVAC System here in Michigan with no temperature related issues. Cameras also work very well viewing out the window. 5 |
