This is a great tool for photographing kids and families. I gives you the opportunity to interact with the kids more freely and get just the right shot.

I bought this lense for by Nikon D90 for photographing my kids sports events. The reason I bought this lense was the image stabilization which is a must for quallity photos with a long zoom lens and the Nikon quality.

This product is great for photographing kids.It is made of steardy material. I would like to be about to put a squeaky in the inside to grab the attention of pets, but over all very satisfied

I got this lens to have a fast, wide angle lens that I could use inside. I use it primarily for photographing my kids and while I have & love the 23mm, I've found when inside the 35mm equivalent can be too narrow at times. Granted, it's new, but since getting the 16mm, I haven't put the 23mm on my X-T1.

For photographing my kids events (sports, scouts, etc.) and travel this lens is perfect. I had the old F mount versions (18-300 DX and 28-300 FX) and this was the first Z mount lens I purchased as I’ve found they’re the best bang for the buck. You can’t beat the focal length range and while I’d love if it was a fixed f5.6, f4-8 works with only a very rare occasion wanting for a faster f stop. I’m not a professional photographer and I don’t interrogate every pixel, but I’m sure if you are this might not work for you. However, if I have to limit what I take with me this is the first lens I grab. My only complaint with the lens is you do get a lot of barrel creep and if you’re going to walk around with it on a shoulder strap you’ll want to use the zoom lock. If you’re looking for a really good does most everything really well, I think you’d be happy with this lens.

I purchased this light to use as fill light when photographing my kids indoors. They always make an awkward face when a flash goes off, so this continuous not overly strong light provides just enough light to remove shadows on their face. It's very light in weight and not any larger than a flash to carry around. Does not throw off your white balance the way most flashes do and another cheaper light I tried did, so another plus, works well from under 8-10 feet, depending on other surrounding light.
