The sound from this portable AM FM radio is very good loud or very soft. It picks up lots of stations nearby or out of state with clear reception with out drifting in and out. The station indicator is accurate and is very easy to lock in on the station you desire. I bought it because it runs on AC OR 4 AA batteries. The case is solid and very well made. It has a folding handle that can stand rough outdoor life. It could use a dial light. Beware it is a single speaker radio not stereo. 5 |

Decided to get back into basic 2 channel stereo as my wave radio just couldn’t get it done. Took the plunge, picked up this receiver and two of the Sony 3 way bookshelf speakers. Wow the power and clarity from the Bluetooth streaming is amazing. Needless to say a CD player and a phono ( which each exceeded the price of the speakers and this receiver) were quickly added on. Best sound of all the Bluetooth speakers that i own. My pops has the JBL and its almost as good.. JBL’s sound and bound quality just isn’t there for me. Bose is way ahead of this. Also this speaker does an amazing job of not distorting at high volumes. Even maxed out. Will be upgrading to the Soundlink Max whenever i catch a good sale. Very impressed! 5 |

Easy to use, simple controls. The sound is loud, clear and very deep. Best portable radio I have heard. I own another Sony radio which is the same size and takes an additional battery and it sounds thin and weak compared to this one. If I needed another portable radio this is the one I would get without any doubt. B&H was excellent with delivery and price. 5 |
