Best Professional Camera Straps For Two Cameras

2024-08-29 03:34:17

This has got to be the BEST camera strap that I have ever purchased and used in my 27 years as a professional photographer. I purchased 2 last weekend and I plan to purchase 2 more of these straps tomorrow Monday 9/16/19. These straps are strong, comfortable and not expensive. It is not complicated to use or wear and it serves its original purpose which is to comfortably hold the camera around the user's neck. I recommend this camera trap to ALL photographers whether they are beginners or pros.

This is a comfortable way to carry two heavy professional cameras and raise either one quickly to eye level. Useful, for example, when photographing a wedding: I carry one camera with a 16-35mm or a 24-105mm lens and another with a 70-200mm lens. I use OpTech utility straps when carrying a single camera. The OpTech components (straps and pads) work together, so it is easy to detach a camera from its shoulder pad and quickly snap it into the dual harness, and vice versa.

Pros: -Very comfortable, soft shoulder/back straps make the weight of two pro cameras (Canon 1D's) and L lenses seem like they are hardly there. - Straps are very adjustable- Straps can be put on long lenses to make the setup more balanced. I put one of the straps on my 70-200mm so that my camera doesn't hang down like is shown in the picture above. - Is truly quick draw; the rear strap that sits under the armpit slides easily along the harness to allow easy swinging of the camera to shooting position. - Quite durable, I feel comfortable dropping my cameras back into resting postion when I grab the other. - you could even add a third camera in front if you got a strap with the same size of fasteners to click in. - You can use the front fastener to hold a pouch such as one for another lens. - Much much less expensive than the R-Strap dual camera harness.- Can be worn with a tux jacket with the slits on the sides...- Made in the U.S.A, warranty. - Looks pro, there's no questioning that you are a pro when you have this setup.Cons: - Doesn't have an option to use the same tripod mount that the Blackrapid R-straps do without other add on purchases- Plastic components could break, I would prefer it if they were metal. - No color options..? Overall: This has to be the best purchase I have made on top of the cameras and lenses I've accumulated over the years. It is immensely useful, in the short time that I've had it I have had it I have saved a significant amount of time because I don't have to worry about setting cameras or lenses down anymore. It also allows me to be much quicker on the draw switching from my telephoto lens camera to my wide angle lens camera.

I used them to add a video camera to my harness with having to change any straps from my cameras.

Camvate offers several custom made camera cages specifically designed to fit individual cameras. The C1344 is more generic in that it can accept several different cameras of varied size from small up to my Panasonic G85 wearing a Neewer bottom battery grip. Two sets of side bars are included — 5.7 and 4.9 allowing the height of the frame to be adjusted but not the width..... The Camvate C1344 arrives as a kit that can be assembled according to the current needs, but has some limitations. The camera can be mounted to face away from the frame or turned around providing better protection for the lens, which is what I prefer if it happens to be mounted on a tripod when it tips over, and that's the main reason why I use cages at all..... Camvate offers several add-on accessories but couldn't find any that would provide any more protection than the C1344 already provides. Two included wooden handles improve the appearance and allow for better stability when recording video while carrying the camera. This frame is best suited for sizing to the camera currently being used and is also a convient place to mount mics and monitors and the other accessories commonly attached to camera frames.

I have tried the other hand straps and none of them even compare to the Spider Hand Strap. I currently, have them on 3 different cameras and should I need one for another camera, Spider will be on it also.
