So I have owned 2 different DSLR sliders. I keep getting more and more equipment lighting field monitors, and follow focuses and they sliders I had are just absolutely unable to hold the amount of weight I need to put on them. I purchased 2 tripos for it to sit on and this thing is solid and super smooth. Absolutely worth the money. THe other sliders were around $$, so for double the price you get quadruple the value and an extremely professional looking slider. Go for it

As a professional photographer this is one of the best additions I have made to my lighting/grip equipment in a long time. It doubles as a fairly tall and stable medium weight stand and quickly converts to a boom perfect for holding cards, flags, reflectors, or even a head. When used as a boom you don't get all of the height and the cross bar does not go to full horizontal (a minor quibble). With the supplied sandbag you could mount a head-softbox combination but with limited extension on the boom. Overall a great and well made product.
