I love this camera and I am a committed DSLR professional shooter. I am replacing my D800 and chose to go with the D780 because of updated technology rather than the D850. With all of the Nikon lenses, it is no time to change brands and this was great out of the box using my Nikon 24-70 2.8 lenses for my tests. I am extremely pleased. 5 |

Finally a true professional DX camera from Nikon. Best DX camera since D300. Only thing I don't like moving from D7200 is losing U1 & U2 settings. What I don't miss is all the auto settings & pop up flash. 5 |

Recently (7-21-2013) I purchased the world's best Nikon D7100 DSLR 18-105mm f/3.5G ED VR DX Lens camera from B&H. I wanted the best possible tripod and after careful searching for 3 weeks zeroed in on the Vanguard Altra Pro 263AB Tripod and ordered it from B&H. When I received the Tripod on 8-8-2013, I was trilled to find the many functions i.e. the smoothness of extending the legs, the ability to turn the legs in 20, 50, and 80 degree angles in moutaineous setting, the three level bubbles to perfectly align the camera to horizontal position, the 360 degree compass to rotate the camera to a set degree, and the sturdiness of the tripod. The B&H packing was fantastic! The Tripod is a GEM, the best in the world. This my first professional level full-frame DSLR...and I'm absolutely in love with it! The camera takes amazingly sharp, detailed images. It's controls and functions are intuitive and easy to navigate. The focus system is incredibly complex; I'm still trying to figure it out. But so far the images I have taken had accurate focus. I am using this camera with a 24-70 f/2.8 and it is performing wonderfully! 5 |
