If you have a prosumer camcorder and are looking for the most bang for the buck in a professional fluid head tripod system you can't do better than this. If you are wondering if an extra grand is worth it when it comes to buying a tripod it is. Nothing seperates amateur productions from pro ones more than the jerky, shaky pans and tilts of a cheap tripod / head. The FSB6 has a great counterbalance system that allows me to load up my Sony V1U with as many accessories as I want and still balance it perfectly. The drag controls and balance make it silky smooth to pan and tilt with no snap back at the end of a pan. 5 |

Pros:Best shotgun video mic I have ever used. If you want to use it on a non-professional camcorder with a smaller mic hot shoe, like a Canon Vixia, check out @ for a converter. Cons: It can bring out base sounds a little more which you would have to adjust in the microphone, and always remember to turn it off when you turn the camera off, or you'll run the battery dead. Otherwise great mic. 5 |
