This is Manfrotto quality in a surprisingly-small (and affordable) design. I’ve always preferred a Manfrotto tripod and head for fluid, client-critical video. But when I realized that I needed an ultra-small, ultra-low-profile stationary solution to put a relatively heavy (5-pound) teleprompter just a few inches above the top of a desk, I never expected Manfrotto to show-up in the B&H search, but I’m glad it did. It’s been installed on that desk for two weeks now, and the prompter mount remains rock-solid with no slippage (i.e., no vertical or horizontal lines in the background going askew in the frame). Depending on your requirements, note that this version is rated for 5+ pounds, while there is also a less-expensive version (about half the price, but still Manfrotto) rated at 2+ pounds.
