We're a small music school that needed a better audio recorder for general use. We make archival video recordings of all our performances and our students had been complaining about the sound quality. We bought the H5 and use it as a pickup mic for our camera (connected with a line-to-mic attenuator) and to make hi-def backup audio files recorded to an SDHC card in the device itself. It's been a huge hit after just one concert - the quality is vastly improved, and our students are grateful to be able to use the files for auditions and applications in addition to their personal practice and review. 5 |
