Best Refresh Rate For Eyes Computer Monitor

I am very happy with this purchase. I went out looking for a 2 computer monitor and decided this was a better option. The picture and refresh rate are perfect while having the flexibility of a tv. Great product.

I bought this cable to take advantage of the 120hz monitor refresh rate. HDMI only goes to 60hz.

I use this monitor for long hours during my day job and the resolution/clarity are a life saver for my eyes. 3840x2160 4k clarity looks great on a screen this size. The monitor also excels at gaming with a 144MHZ refresh rate and AMD FreeSync. After using this monitor all day, I look at my other monitors and realize how out of date they are. The clarity and colors on the LG are just so much better. It is much easier on my eyes and just shines when editing photos or deigning. The USB-C connection is extremely convenient and the included speakers are actually decent enough to use for light office work. Onscreen controls are handy with the small joystick type navigation button on the bottom of the screen. One thing to consider is that there is a firmware update available for this monitor so I would install that ASAP once you get your screen. Easy to do and just takes a couple minutes to complete. This is a great monitor for those looking for a monitor to use for their daily computer use and light gaming. If you are a heavy gamer, into fast moving FPS type games you might find the refresh on this monitor a little slow compared to others but those others wont do your daily computing like this one, at least at this price point. Give this monitor a look if you are in the market for a 32" do it all screen with a lot of features at a great price point.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been on the market for a gaming monitor. I wanted something that wasn’t just HDR compatible, was high refresh rate, at least 30”, and 1440p. I was upgrading from a 144Hz, 1080p monitor that was 37”, way too big for 1080p. I saw the 32” G7 in a store and ordered it shortly after. This monitor is everything I was wanting. I didn’t think I’d like the curvature of the display, but I think it helps further envelope me in games. The refresh rate is more than ample for my needs. My desktop won’t be driving AAA games at 240Hz, but Nvidia G-sync helps with that. Colors are vibrant for a standard LCD panel and the 1440p resolution is just enough for gaming without stressing my system by pushing 4K. The built-in speakers are serviceable. They have RGB lighting that is controlled via the monitor itself. I would like to plug it in via USB and have an app for controlling it, but the OSD is fine. There’s also an RGB light ring on the back. It would also have been nice if it adapted to whatever the monitor was displaying. But those are two small complaints in an otherwise great monitor that will suit my needs for years.
