Best Router Wireless Access Points

I bought this router to accommodate a web/minecraft/media server, constant online gaming, excessive video streaming, and three wireless access points (my house has metal lathe, which acts like a faraday cage). Was previously using some Netgear garbage home user Wi-Fi router that couldn't keep up with the demand and was awful to manage. This router is a breeze to manage if you have at least basic networking knowledge. The 10 ports allow me to wire my server, computer, access points, and other peripheral gear to keep the wireless networks from getting congested. The quality of my home network improved dramatically and allowed me to actually utilize every drop of the gigabit ethernet we pay for. I also appreciate Ubiquiti's detailed firmware upgrade logs. I would absolutely recommend this router to anyone looking to have fast, easily configurable internet at home, and I'm sure it would hold up well for a small business too.

I have four of these, configured as access points. That means I have an ethernet cable connecting each to my router. It provides outstanding WiFi coverage to the rooms these are in. The 5G network in particular is crazy fast; I get 500+ mbps/s on my phone. I generally don't recommend extender mode, in which these units relay your phone's wireless signal to the router, via another wireless signal.

I had outdated access points that couldn’t take the speeds my new router provided. With orbi everything is so fast

This is a sleek router with a beautiful interface and overall great functionality. I researched quite a bit to find a router which would cover my home and minimize, hopefully get rid of dead spots. This is a solid solution if hard wiring access points in a home is not viable. While you mayhave a small impact on speed/latency, it is relatively unnoticeable. IF you are able to use hard wire connections, then Ubiquiti access points or other whole home wifi systems may be worth looking into. However, this provides such a simple, clear, and easy solution that hardwiring can be avoided. The system comes with 3 items - 1 router and 2 mesh points. Placing the router centered in the home, and a mesh point on each end allows for maximum coverage over a larger area. I can now get Wifi all over my front and back yard, to the neighbors next door and across the street. You can even add additional mesh points down the road if necessary, or even another Amplifi router. Highly recommendif you are searching for a whole home wifi solution. *Note you will need available outlets in a good location, to plug in the mesh points, as they stay plugged in the wall.

I use this router at home with 2 other router to have adequate coverage. I have set it up as the main router and the other 2 as access points. It works great. It is easy to setup and updates itself. It even warns you of any threats. Support is very good so far.

An absolutely wonderful product. Super simple to setup and it just worked. It's great that it actually looks nice too (and it's fun to tap the screen and see how many devices are on the network, how much data we've used, and even real-time data rates). What impressed me the most though was the range and performance. Honstly, after just setting up the router, and walking around the house (about 2,000 sqft plus a basement), I couldn't find a spot that felt like I needed to put on of the access points (even testing above and below the router). So, I just placed them on opposite sides of the house and hoped it cover some of the yard. Well, I now have wifi for the entire piece of property. I honestly walked down my driveway (about 500 ft) and was able to still stream YouTube at 1080p no problem (I turned off mobile data just to make sure). This was pretty much line of sight with one of the access points with a single exterior wall in the way, but I'm still quite impressed. If you're looking at this, you should just get it.

The price of this router along with a few WiFi 7 or 6 access points cost about the same a some of the consumer 3 unit MESH units. But it is faster and has the power to add more APs including outdoor APs. I dose not stop there. You can also add high end cameras without the requirement of a subscription! Also has a number of home security devices that can be added. But if you are only looking for fast high end WiFi it is still a great deal.

The setup was so easy! I love that the router and access points are sleek in design allowing it to easily blend into our home decor. The range of coverage is great in my 2 story home and I cannot find any dead spots at all! The speeds are amazing compared to my old wireless router setup (Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000). I don't use the Google Assistant at all, but it's nice to know that there is that added feature if I choose to do so down the road. Most of all I love that I can control the settings through my mobile phone on Google's Home app. So EASY!
