Best Semi Professional Video Cameras

Im a semi retired professional DP and Director. This is one of the best action cameras ive used and ive just got started. Im waiting for my ND filters to put this camera through its paces but what ive seen so far has impressed me.

After a long break from using professional, or semi-professional, cameras. I finally decided to get the T2i with the kit lens. I definitely love it! I wouldn't buy any other entry level DSLRs. the only feature I would like from the T3i is the flip screen, other than that I don't see any reason to spend the extra money. Just watch a few videos online about it and you'll be convinced.

I am a semi-professional photographer. By that I work a normal job and get photography jobs randomly. One of my regularly scheduled events is a conference 3 times a year that requires me to move around a large arena quickly, with heavier lenses, but without distracting the audience if at all possible. For years I strapped on two cameras with their own straps and it was just incredibly difficulty and strenuous on my neck. A year ago I started using the Money Maker by Holdfast gear and the difference was night and day. I can carry two cameras for 3-4 hours at a time and never feel fatigued. As well, I usually have a monopod on one of my lenses and the cameras hang where it doesn't bang around or hit others. As a female photographer, I can't imagine doing multi-camera shoots without it. I am trying to get setup for semi-professional video creation and wanted to generate good quality audio. After watching a lot of mic reviews, I decided to order a pair of the Samson C02 mics. While these are sold as instrument (drums, acoustic guitar, etc) many people have given them favorable reviews for dialog and even live action. Having received mine, I have done a number of tests both for inside dialog as well as taking them outside to check their sensitivity with ambient sound. I am using a Sound Devices mixer so the whole sound chain is pretty quiet, and I did not hear very much self-noise from these mics while they were able to pick up very faint sounds outdoor such as leaves rustling and birds chirping. They are somewhat directional but certainly not in the same way as a proper shotgun mic. All in all I am very glad I purchased these and I expect them to be with me for a good while.

Micro four thirds is great for on the go shoots and semi professional needs. The video at 4k is great and it works well with adapters for other types of lenses. Do recommend.

Using for editing semi professional video. Great for getting all the way to the point where you're ready to hear your mix through a pair of reference monitors.

I decided to buy this prompter package for my semi-professional online video project. So far I have been really lucky. The teleprompter is stable and has all inputs I need to attach my components. Therefore it is also highly versatile and simple-to-use with almost all cameras (the prompter is used by my whole team). I am a professional videographer...this head is great for larger video cameras. the double handles are very helpful. very sturdily built. I now own three of these heads

Pros:Best shotgun video mic I have ever used. If you want to use it on a non-professional camcorder with a smaller mic hot shoe, like a Canon Vixia, check out @ for a converter. Cons: It can bring out base sounds a little more which you would have to adjust in the microphone, and always remember to turn it off when you turn the camera off, or you'll run the battery dead. Otherwise great mic.
