Best Singer Songwriter Recording Studio

I am a singer/songwriter and this along with my new MacBook Pro completes my recording needs!

Husband has worked as a singer-songwriter and studio engineer, and has been looking hard for two years for a portable mike to take on the road, or just for capturing early bits of songs wherever he likes. This great little device from Zoom looked like it might finally fit his standards/expectations. It has not disappointed!! It is very clear, and very detailed in its recording. Download the app and test it out; on raw recording in the living room, it beat garageband hands down. This device hasn't made it into the studio yet, but record/playback on iPhone 6+ was sharp and nuanced. Stays on while plugged into iOS device, so disconnect to save device battery. Husband is SUPER happy with it.

I am a singer/songwriter (amature) and I have mics and recording equipment at home, but I was looking for something more mobile. I wanted something that I could plug into my ipad and record musical ideas when I was on the go. I can record guitar tracks at home and put my ipad and condenser mic in my bag and work on vocals throughout the day. And the sound is great.

We are a singer/songwriter duo and, because of COVID-19 had to quickly adapt to live stream concerts. The most common Logitech cameras were sold out everywhere, but I found that B&H had a couple of these left. I ordered it and couldn't be happier. We started streaming with just our smartphone, but found that autofocus we unnerving as it kept bouncing the image. When we switched to the Logitech, the audience was thrilled. I downloaded Logitech Camera Control and disabled autofocus to make sure it didn't do the same thing. You can also change many other settings. We use OBS software and stream to FB Live, but then upload it to Youtube afterwards. I'll share that Youtube link here. You'll note that we added a timed second camera to the stream for review. I am a singer songwriter and perform regularly in a guitar duo. My legs have been getting very sore after a couple of hours of standing so I decided to sit half the time. This bench is not too heavy, very sturdy, easy to adjust, adjusts within the perfect height range with a firm but not too hard seat. It also folds up easily so it doesn't take up too much space on my equipment dolly. It is just as good at home or for a gig. My only complaint would be that when it is collapsed there is nothing to lock it in the folded position so it can easily flop open. I opted to use a small belt type of strap with a Fastex buckle which works okay but not great. I might put my mind to it in the future to make some sort of clip that would hold it firmly in the collapsed position. Other than that it is a great tool right out of the box.

I am a combination of amateur audio guy (singer-songwriter) and electronics consumer. I wanted to upgrade my studio speakers from older M-Audio BXB (8 inch) which have served me well. I went to the internet and looked at audio websites to see what the audio guys are saying, and many of them recommended these new Kali Monitors. The only thing to note is that they cost about $200 more than the other monitors in their class. That wasn't a deal breaker--I will pay more for quality sound. I hooked them up to my Steinberg U22 interface and watched the movie Dances With Wolves on YouTube and it was so enjoyable hearing the fullness and clarity of the audio. I don't think you can go wrong with these monitors.

I bought 2 of these. I'm a singer-guitarist-songwriter, and this mic works awesome on vocals & acoustic guitar. For vocals the sound is almost translucent. I use it with a Focusrite Scarlett 1818. I would buy this again - which actually I already did !!! Note B&H had it in my hands within 3 days - FREE shipping ! One small heads up - this mic picks up EVERYTHING - so be careful if you are recording in the basement and someone is stomping around upstairs - the sound WILL be picked up. Awesome mic - built like a tiny tank !!

To all my associates; I am a jazz player and singer and I have a home studio for my recording projects. After a few years with large capsule condenser microphones, 3 to be exact, I have found the ribbon microphone to be the best for my type of vocal. For the price of the MXL 144 it has a great natural sound and the highs are not rough. Just a little EQ for your personal taste. I ordered a pre amp but found I did not need it for my recording system. I run it directly into my Tascam US-1641. Eventual I will update to the more expensive models.

I am a songwriter and music producer that enjoys capturing cool images of the artists I work with in the studio and live performances. It's nice to have this wireless remote to use and include myself in some pictures when the camera is set on a tripod.
