This cpu runs hotter than it's intel counterpart. I was concerned at first, and kind of obsessed with monitoring the temp. But it is stable and maintains constant temps so I quit worrying about it. I've had no issues with it and it works great in my custom build. 5 |

I was lucky enough to hop on B&H doing my Daily check for a 3000 Series GPU, and found this Guy in stock instead. I've been wanting to go back to AMD, after having been very disappointed with the FX-6100 back in the day. I went from the 6100 to an i7 4770k then from that to an i7 8700k...so yeah been riding with Intel for awhile. But, I've been seeing AMD coming back in recent years. Then, I saw the Benchmarks for Zen 3 and was sold. I wanted to grab the 5800x. I'm not disappointed. I paired this Beast with the MSI coremag 360r or some such AIO. It keeps this CPU Temps around 40 degrees idle and never above 70 under load. I love this CPU. I can be proud to Rock an AMD CPU again. 5 |
