Best Streaming Device 2023

Best device for media streaming into a home theater receiver!

These things tend to be low in stock. I was very glad to get one from B&H. Best streaming device out there, hands down. in addition to all the basics of running amazon prime, netflix etc flawlessly, the Shield also loads all the apks you want quickly and has the power to run them well. So much more flexible than the Apple TV, an excellent Android-based addition to the home. Just ordered another one for the basement.

Great device, using it at church with our streaming setup.

I have only had the Roku® Streaming Stick®+ (model 3810) two weeks, so I can’t give a long-term, comprehensive review. I can share my limited experience though, which is positive. Initial setup was straightforward and painless. Apps for all of the streaming services associated with my Roku account were automatically installed. The ability of the Stick+ to control TV power and volume is a nice feature. I have used it on two Samsung TVs and it automatically detected and synced with each, and didn’t require entering codes or fiddling around. I have two other Roku devices, an original Streaming Stick and a Roku 3. The Stick+ is a LOT faster than the original Stick. The responsiveness of the Stick+ isn’t noticeably different from the Roku 3 (which is acceptable). The picture quality is good. I only have 10 mbps internet service, but I have not experienced buffering or any other performance issues. Even when another another device is streaming HD content, both streams work without a hitch. So far it appears to be more robust than a FireTV stick I had (that I gave to a daughter), which often buffered when another stream was active. Unscientific observation, but that’s the way it appears to me using the “eye-test”. The bottom line is that I am happy with the Stick+. When I purchased it I actually wanted a hardwired (ethernet) device, but there were none available locally so I went with the Stick+. So far I have no regrets having done so, and I have no reservations in recommending it.

I "cut the cord" in October 2023 and bought five of these for my TVs, most of which were not smart TVs. The device is reliable and easy to use. The user interface is intuitive. Adjusting the settings to match the capabilities of individual TVs is also very easy to do. I subsequently bought two more of these devices for my RV and use them to stream content while on the road. Great buy!

Making livestreaming easy all in one place device is the Yolobox Pro. Purchased in 2023 and its been a game changer in my church's weekly livestream activities on multiple streaming platforms like FB and YouTube. It now comes with NDI source and that is pretty awesome.

I mean it's an apple device in 2023. what do you expect? That being said: 1) its amazing apple doesn't stock this exact spec — so happy someone keeps it stock, rather than having to wait weeks 2) prompt service and very reasonably priced shipping
