Best Studio Headphone Monitors Akg Sennheiser

I don’t use this on an AKG. For me, this little clown nose is perfect for my Sennheiser 416 microphone. I work this microphone close-up. A conventional nylon stocking-type enormous circular windscreen doesn’t allow me to have a proper view of the script I am performing. This little pop filter is expensive but superbly addresses my need. A studio in Hollywood has been successfully using this on the Sennheiser 416 for three decades. When I must record in another studio I have this in my pocket.

This thing is AMAZING! Best investment I've made for my studio. I use an AKG 414B XLS-II and run it through this baby. The tone beast gives it a certain brightness for crisp vocals, but also allows for warmth as well depending on which setting you choose. Run your mic through the front or back, or both if you have 2. A great mic needs a great pre...and this is just the pre for the job.

Because of the pandemic, I have not been able to go to the music store to listen to and purchase studio monitors. I have been doing all of my music editing using Sennheiser HD 289 Pro headphones. This Blue Cat Audio software/VST has been very useful in helping me better understand what is going on in my recording.

I have had these headphones for almost 10 years. In these 10 years, they have been THE BEST headphones I have used for mixing. I have used a bunch of headphones and studio monitors in that time, and nothing has beat them out, not even the infamous Sony 7506 (given, cheaper, but more prevalent headphones in studios) Things to note with these headphones; they are not super low end present. If you are getting these to listen to consumer music, you may not like them because they are not "boomy" or "full". These headphones are for users who are looking for definition and clarity for making a solid mix. The other note is a MINOR complaint; the part of the headset that rests on the top of your head/hair has worn out for me. The muffs also wore out, but I replaced them. If there is a way to replace the foam under the band, please let me know because I would love to have them looking brand new again. I broke the cable that came with the headphones by accidentally vacuuming it about 2 years in (stupid, I know), but the detachable cable saved me some money. Also nice if you want to swap out different size cables. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to invest in headphones for studio mixing.

This is the 2nd pair of this headphone that I have purchased, and I even have a higher end AKG, but with the price, these can't be beat for quality and price

Before the HD 600 I was used to use an AKG K240, wich is not a great headphone, but is at least a regular one. After listening to the HD 600 I thought that the AKG was something like a consumer headphone. Maybe it's not the best sounding headphone, but it is so precise that a good recording sounds good, and a bad recording sounds bad. It does not make anything better than it is. If you are looking for a headphone for professional use (audio engeneering) I recommend it very much. If you listen to good recordings I recommend it very much. But... If you have chosen to listen to low quality mp3 audio I don'n recommend, because I think you're going to be disappointed.
