Best Studio Headphones Producing Urban Rap

Great for producing light for group portrait Best used with studio strobe (I use Elinichrom strobes) You can also use flash but using with tri-flash may help.

If you like rap, jazz, hiphop, r & b and bass, I recommend these headphones, they sound great and you don't have to envy more expensive ones.

I bought this mic to record vocals for rap/hip-hop/alternative music in my home studio. With the proper recording environment and mixing techniques this mic can produce near-industry standard recordings. For the low price this is an incredibly high quality mic and I would recommend it to anyone starting a home studio, anything cheaper than this just isn't worth it. It is important to remember that this mic is not all you will need, any mic will sound bad in a carppy environment, especially this mic. The AT2035 is VERY sensitive to background noise like fans, AC's, washing machines, computers and movement.

I have had these headphones for almost 10 years. In these 10 years, they have been THE BEST headphones I have used for mixing. I have used a bunch of headphones and studio monitors in that time, and nothing has beat them out, not even the infamous Sony 7506 (given, cheaper, but more prevalent headphones in studios) Things to note with these headphones; they are not super low end present. If you are getting these to listen to consumer music, you may not like them because they are not "boomy" or "full". These headphones are for users who are looking for definition and clarity for making a solid mix. The other note is a MINOR complaint; the part of the headset that rests on the top of your head/hair has worn out for me. The muffs also wore out, but I replaced them. If there is a way to replace the foam under the band, please let me know because I would love to have them looking brand new again. I broke the cable that came with the headphones by accidentally vacuuming it about 2 years in (stupid, I know), but the detachable cable saved me some money. Also nice if you want to swap out different size cables. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to invest in headphones for studio mixing.

I use this model for monitoring and mixing in my studio. These headphones are the best I have ever used and goes right along in the same category as the SM57 microphones. Best sound and amazing price for the performance!

Saw these headphones listed as PC Magazine's Best for Affordable Studio Headphones, and I totally agree. I haven't used them for any studio stuff, but they're great for gaming and streaming. Very pleased with what you get for the price. Comfortable, great sound, and cool features (can plug into the left or right side, plug has a lock on it, comes with color bands to identify each chord, adjustable head band).

When producing sound it is a must to have good headphones. We had to replace ours because of too much use so we again came to bhphoto and got what we needed.

I have used it both in a studio, and outdoors. For shooting nature, urban life, people, and product photography. This is a very affordable all rounder that is very compact, and yet full of features. THe autofocus is troublesome in low light, and sometime causes a vast number of flashes to find focus. I am sure some will find this quite annoying. Most Olympuses have this same problem. However when on manual focus it's perfect. Regarding High ISO, I have not tried that out a lot yet.
