I bought this mic mostly for voice recording, but it also sounds great with my acoustic guitar.

Really enjoying this for my home studio. Tested by recording an acoustic guitar and it sounds much better than my acoustic pickups.

Great addition to any recording studio, pro or home. I've found it particularly good for recording acoustic guitar.

Perfect for recording acoustic guitar, or pretty much any instrument. ...

I bought this for recording acoustic guitar in a small space. I can't fit a lot of mic stands in that space. I was using a kick drum or guitar amp mic stand stacked on a stock pot to get the proper height, and that was no good. Extra annoying when I couldn't sit in my regular playing posture because there's stuff where my legs normally go. This desk mounted mic arm works great for my needs! It feels sturdy, it moves easily enough, and most importantly to me, it sets up and tears down quickly.

I heard about this mic from reading interviews with recording engineers in TapeOp mag. It seemed to be a well regarded secret weapon so I was intrigued enough to buy one. The price is certainly great. I tested this mic running through a FWRAudio RNP (pre) & RNC (comp) combo via a MOTU 828 then into GarageBand. It was up against my German Sennheiser e614 and my Russian Oktava MK_012-01, both similar mics. The Pro 37 is very small and light, but seemed ultra high quality. I tested it on acoustic guitar and also voice. I thought it sounded wonderful! It had as much detail as the Oktava, but more bass response; a richer, fuller sound. The AT had more warmth than the Senn, which is also detailed, but a slightly dull mic. So I am pleased, certainly for the money! I plan on using the Pro37 on the 12th fret neck position recording acoustic, w/ the Oktava on the body. I've read the Pro37 is also killer on guitar cabs for electrics too, so I'll be trying that soon.

I do mostly acoustic guitar recording. This mic captures beautifully and has a great form factor and shock mount. I have some good mics, but I haven't found a source that this mic doesn't improve or at least equal.

Using this mic for recording acoustic guitar while recording voice with an SM57. Very little vocal bleed through on the e70 with the cardioid capsule. The e70 does a nice job of representing the guitar. For $ getting a sound this clean and true is a steal.

I use the mic to record vocals and acoustic guitar in my home studio. I find it clear and responsive across all frequencies, with little feedback. It feels solid and comes with a handy carry pouch for traveling. Overall, great value mic.
