Best Studio Monitors For Mixing Hip Hop

I have had these headphones for almost 10 years. In these 10 years, they have been THE BEST headphones I have used for mixing. I have used a bunch of headphones and studio monitors in that time, and nothing has beat them out, not even the infamous Sony 7506 (given, cheaper, but more prevalent headphones in studios) Things to note with these headphones; they are not super low end present. If you are getting these to listen to consumer music, you may not like them because they are not "boomy" or "full". These headphones are for users who are looking for definition and clarity for making a solid mix. The other note is a MINOR complaint; the part of the headset that rests on the top of your head/hair has worn out for me. The muffs also wore out, but I replaced them. If there is a way to replace the foam under the band, please let me know because I would love to have them looking brand new again. I broke the cable that came with the headphones by accidentally vacuuming it about 2 years in (stupid, I know), but the detachable cable saved me some money. Also nice if you want to swap out different size cables. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to invest in headphones for studio mixing.

I bought this mic to record vocals for rap/hip-hop/alternative music in my home studio. With the proper recording environment and mixing techniques this mic can produce near-industry standard recordings. For the low price this is an incredibly high quality mic and I would recommend it to anyone starting a home studio, anything cheaper than this just isn't worth it. It is important to remember that this mic is not all you will need, any mic will sound bad in a carppy environment, especially this mic. The AT2035 is VERY sensitive to background noise like fans, AC's, washing machines, computers and movement.

I use it for home recording vocals for hip-hop It picks up sound really great and love the crystal clear quality

Great sound!!!! Country and classic rock sound amazing. Hip-hop sounds great as well though the cartridge has trouble hitting the low great. Bluetooth capability is an amazing feature that has opened up the possibility of listening to my music everywhere! I love it!!

I use the V67i for recording, mainly rap and hip-hop vocals. I am amazed by the clarity and precision and the quaility of the signal captured during playback. In a far less than stellar recording enviorment I am still able to get a good recording with minimal unwanted noise. The microphone is very sensitive so it allows me the flexibility to record into the late hours of the evening without having me or other artist yell at the top of our lungs to create the passionate drive in the music. I will definately continue to recommend this product, as I have done so already with my peers.

This speaker is gorgeous, a music lover’s best companion, whether you like jazz, hip hop, or gospel the sound quality is amazing. I highly recommend this product, and plan to order my wife one as a gift also, that way when we travel together we can pair them for a true stereo sound.

I originally bought this mic for my nieces college graduation present because she is heavy into Hip Hop. She performs with a group of artist. I wanted to make sure I wasn't just giving her a junk microphone, so I hooked it into a board and couldn't believe the clarity. This thing is nice!! I almost kept it!! But since she has done such hard work to get through college and performing whenever she could I had to give it to her. The way she lit up when she saw it made it completely worth It. Pure Joy!!
