Best Studio Monitors Under 400 Pounds

I use these stands to get a set of Tapco S-8 studio monitors, which weigh 35 pounds, to standing desk height. They do the job and have multiple height increments held by pin. I chose these because they had a wider base and fit my budget. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I could not be more happy with this powerhouse laptop. Under 3 pounds! And the power brick is as light as a phone charger! I am very happy! 5 |

I have had these headphones for almost 10 years. In these 10 years, they have been THE BEST headphones I have used for mixing. I have used a bunch of headphones and studio monitors in that time, and nothing has beat them out, not even the infamous Sony 7506 (given, cheaper, but more prevalent headphones in studios) Things to note with these headphones; they are not super low end present. If you are getting these to listen to consumer music, you may not like them because they are not "boomy" or "full". These headphones are for users who are looking for definition and clarity for making a solid mix. The other note is a MINOR complaint; the part of the headset that rests on the top of your head/hair has worn out for me. The muffs also wore out, but I replaced them. If there is a way to replace the foam under the band, please let me know because I would love to have them looking brand new again. I broke the cable that came with the headphones by accidentally vacuuming it about 2 years in (stupid, I know), but the detachable cable saved me some money. Also nice if you want to swap out different size cables. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to invest in headphones for studio mixing. 5 |

I weigh 400 pounds, exactly. If this thing could hold my weight, I was sure it would be uncomfortable. Happily, I was wrong on both accounts. I wanted something to sit behind a small tripod for both nature photography, and impromptu video interviews in coffee shops, but I use it everywhere. It's light and the bag has a strap attached to it. When I pull the stool out, I just sling the empty bag back over my shoulder until I'm ready to go. The bag rolls up into a small hand sized bundle so you could just a easily put it in your coat or pants pocket, as well. The only thing that might be a problem is if your hip bones are landing directly on the top end of the two back legs. I moved forward and the problem was solved, but you might want to bring a thin pad or fold your jacket up underneath yourself if it's a problem. Otherwise I can't think of a way that anyone would be unhappy with this purchase. Another thing you might want to check before you decide which one to get... I actually ordered the smaller model (the 18 Large) by accident, but was pleasantly surprised to discover that if I'd ordered the next size up, I would have been sorry. After I got it, I measured from my hardwood floor to the inside crease on the back of my knee it was exactly 18. My legs are short so I'm glad this accident happened, otherwise I would have had to send it back. Hope this helps someone in making up their mind, all of the comments people make sure do help me. 5 |
