This is one of two cameras I purchased for a simple security system for my home. Hik-Vision products were recommended to me by friends with experience in real-world security. Purchasing the system from B&H was a breeze, given the level of expert advice I received from their customer service reps. This camera covers our front driveway and approach to our front door. Installation was easy after watching videos on the Hik-Vision website and You-tube. I mounted it to a 1/2 thick Starboard disk I made, to cushion the camera from my stucco eaves. It provides outstanding picture quality day and night. I appreciate the color images at night. I have not yet figured out the use of the built-in speaker/mic, nor all the parameters for receiving notifications of moving objects. 5 |

These cameras are pretty darn good. Great night vision too. One thing that must be done is to make sure that no moisture can get in the connector. They are water resistant but not waterproof. Every camera failure I've had over the past few years has been from moisture in the connector and I have tried many different ways to combat this issue. My cameras under the overhang of my roof have been problem free. When installing be on the lookout for items close to the camera that could reflect the infrared light, leaves, walls etc... it will reduce the night vision results. reduce the 5 |
