We previously used our TV speakers for a number of years, and the LG Soundbar S80TR took everything to a whole new level. Setting up and installing the LG Soundbar took less than thirty minutes to complete. You're able to utilize your Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity to listen to Spotify or audio directly from your phone, tablet, or PC. You can also Cast content directly to the soundbar. You're also to update and main the soundbar via the LG Soundbar App. Within the app you can adjust the output volume for each speaker. This is ideal if you live in an apartment or you don't want to wake your family at night. While playing content that supports a 5.1.3 setup, you're able to hear voices and sound effects all around you. The 5 represents the amount of speakers in the soundbar; the .1 represents the subwoofer, and finally, the .3 represents the Dolby Atmos speakers. The added Dolby Atmos speakers sends the audio to the ceiling and back to the listener. When you hear the added sound and clarity, you'll wonder why you didn't upgrade to a soundbar sooner. I wholeheartedly recommend the LG Soundbar S80TR to anyone wants to elevate their viewing or listening experience.

The sound quality is so much better than the smart TV sound. I wish we had purchased the soundbar earlier. We are now re-watching some of our favorite movies to enjoy the enhanced audio. We are new to Roku so we have not used all the features yet, such as listening to audiobooks or radio, but will try soon, as I find Roku easy to use. Our 2nd TV does not have the ports necessary to get the most from a Soundbar Pro. We are now considering replacing that TV so we can use a Soundbar in that room also.

I have it set up in a bedroom that is used mostly for gaming and watching TV. I love that the rear speakers are wireless—no more tangled cables all over the place which is ideal for this space! The sound quality is amazing. With Dolby Atmos®, it feels like the sound is coming from all around me, which is perfect for not only movies but gaming as well. The bass is deep, the highs are clear, and the whole system delivers a rich, immersive audio experience. What I really appreciate is how the soundbar adapts to whatever I'm watching. Whether it's a movie, video game, or just some music, it automatically adjusts to give me the best sound. The remote is easy to use, and switching between different sound modes is super simple. It also pairs perfectly with my LG TV! Plus, it’s got all the connectivity options I need—Bluetooth, HDMI, and optical input—so it works great with all my devices. Overall, the LG Soundbar S80TR is a fantastic addition to my setup. It’s easy to use, sounds incredible, and looks sleek. I am very impressed with this soundbar. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought Dec 2022 to go with a new samsung TV. The pair use what's called q symphony which allows all the speakers to be used from both the tv and sound bar to work as one unit. Overall the sound is great not much adjusting needed. Only downside is the soundbar doesn't use eARC just ARC through one port, so everything needs to be connected to the TV then the TV to the soundbar, no optical connection either. It's very long for a soundbar which should fit under a 55" or larger, but the depth is extremely slim compared to the Q800 model that I saw in a retail store. Overall love the soundbar thinking on picking up the matching rear atmos wireless speakers soon to finish it off. If you need alot of connections directly to your soundbar or need a digital display on it, this soundbar is not for you. For everyone else, especially samsung tv owners who can use Q Symphany, want to have a very flush mounting soundbar, the HW-S800B is an excellent purchase, with the option to expand to a full 5.1(2).4 system.

Great sound from a fantastic immersive soundbar. It has changed the way we enjoy watching TV. With 48 years in sound as a recordest for film and tv, I could kick myself for not doing this sooner. And so easy to setup. One cable to tv, wireless subwoofer that to back skeakers connect too.

Best purchase of the Year! Don't buy the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar without getting the Bose Bass Module 700. Amazing sound with both. I cant believe how great the sound is and how deep the base is. You will not regret it, get them both.
